Abstract:
A novelty dispensing apparatus includes a housing in which novelty items are contained and a receptacle mounted inside the housing and movable from a retracted position within the housing, though an opening in the housing and into an extended position, wherein part of the receptacle member protrudes from the housing. A door is mounted for movement adjacent to the opening from a closed position to an open position that enables the receptacle member to protrude from the opening. A link member is mounted for movement within the housing and is attached to the door and at another end to the receptacle member. The link member has a handle for manipulation, wherein manipulation of the handle moves the link member and attached door and receptacle member. The dispenser includes lost-motion mechanisms.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a packaging system, comprising a top cover (30), a bottom cover (20) and a sled (40). The bottom cover further includes a sled lock (26) positioned along the side wall near the closed end of the bottom cover and a sled rail extending substantially the length of the bottom surface. The sled lock includes a ramped surface facing the open end of the bottom cover and a flat vertical surface facing the closed end of the bottom cover. The sled is adapted to sit between the top and bottom cover when the packaging system is assembled. The sled includes a dagger (42) capable of receiving and retaining an insert card. Pressure applied to the top and bottom covers or the sides proximate to where the sled is positioned will cause the sled to deflect inward and result in the trailing edge of the sled clearing the sled lock.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a container having an interior chamber and partial openings (40,50) on either end. The container is characterized by top and bottom components (10,20) each having opposing ends, one open and one closed, and opposing sides. The top and bottom components further include locking posts (24), cut out slit areas, and tab receptacles adapted to secure an insert attachment component (30). The top component (10), the bottom component (20) and the insert attachment component are attached to one another to form a container having an interior chamber with an open portion on either end each capable of accepting a separate insert card (60) in a lockable manner.
Abstract:
A product dispensing system is disclosed that includes: (a) a dispenser comprising a frame having two opposed side walls and a support surface between the opposed side walls, and (b) a container positioned on the support surface, the container being releasably engaged with the frame.
Abstract:
A packaging system (2) for patient interface devices components (12) that includes a macro container (4) and a plurality of dispensing packages (6) removeably held within the macro container. Each of the dispensing packages includes a continuous item supply (8) including a plurality of selectively separable single item packages (10), wherein for each of the dispensing packages the single item packages in the continuous item supply of the dispensing package holds a patient interface device component (12) of a type and a size that is associated with the dispensing package, and wherein each of the dispensing packages includes an opening (16) enabling the single item packages of the dispensing package to be removed while the dispensing package is held within the macro container and markings (24) that indicate the type and size that is associated with the dispensing package.
Abstract:
Disclosed is an outer package (10) for containing an inner package (20) that is marked on its surface with a bar code (25). The outer package includes a cut out area (15) on its surface. The bar code marked on the inner package is displayed through the cut out area of the outer package when the inner package is completely inserted into the outer package. The outer package can be made of a hard plastic shell or a paperboard container. The inner package can be a blister pack or a box small enough to fit within the outer package.
Abstract:
A weight-based dispensing system is disclosed. The system includes a platform and a container, coupled to the platform, including a lid configured to move between a closed state restricting access to items in the container and an open state allowing access to the items in the container. The system also includes at least two weight sensors, wherein each of the weight sensors is coupled to the platform and is configured to determine a change in weight on the platform, and a controller configured to determine a change in the number of items in the container based on the state of the lid and the change in weight on the platform. A method for dispensing items is also disclosed.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a package assembly for enclosing and dispensing a plurality of consumable products. The package assembly includes a package housing defining a pair of product pockets each having an open end for removably accommodating a plurality of products in an aligned array. The open ends of the pockets are in facing orientation. The package housing includes a fold line between the open ends of the pocket for folding the housing thereat and placing the pockets in an angled orientation for dispensing of product. The housing further defines at least one openable flap for overlying and enclosing the pockets.
Abstract:
A dispensing container is provided, including an outer casing having an open end, a top, a bottom, sidewalls extending between the top and bottom, and an interior compartment; an inner tray slidably received within the interior compartment of the outer casing and including a storage compartment configured to store a plurality of units of product to be dispensed, and a dispensing trough in communication with the storage compartment, the inner tray extending outwardly from the open end of the outer casing and configured for sliding movement between a closed and locked position and a dispensing position, wherein the dispensing trough includes an aperture sized to allow a single unit of product exit the dispensing trough at one end thereof and a slot at the opposing end thereof; and the outer casing further includes a rib extending into the interior compartment and positioned to enter the slot of the dispensing trough.
Abstract:
Systems and methods for packaging, identifying and dispensing medicines are described. The medicines may include homeopathic and other products. A package may include a container is having a port through which medicine is dispensed. A sleeve partially encloses the container and is slidable along a portion of a surface of the container between two positions. The port is accessible when the sleeve is in one of the two positions and inaccessible when the sleeve is in the other position. The sleeve may include a cover that prevents unassisted extraction of the objects from the container where the cover may be a semi-adhesive tape or similar. An identifier and color coding may be provided that distinguishes the contents from the contents of other packages.
