Einrichtung zum Querschneiden von Bahnen, insbesondere von Blech oder Kunststoffbahnen, mit zumindest einer auf zumindest einer Führungsbahn (13) verfahrbaren Schneideeinheit (15), wobei der Einrichtung (6) eine Anzahl von Materialbahnen nebeneinanderliegend zugeführt ist, wobei die Schneideeinheit (15) auf ihrer Führungsbahn (13), wobei die Schneideeinheit (15) in einer vorgegebenen Position oder ausgehend von einer vorgegebenen Position zur Ausführung von zumindest einem Querschnitt vorgegebener Lange antreibbar und auf der Führungsbahn (13, 26) verfahrbar ist, und wobei auf dem Schneideinheit (15) zumindest ein den zwischen den Rollenmessern (18, 19) liegenden Schneidbereich der beiden Rollenmesser (18, 19) in Schneidrichtung überragender Fangschuh (20) verschwenkbar oder auf und abbewegbar gelagert ist, mit dem eine vor der Schneideinheit (15) befindlichen Materialbahn (1, 2, 3), insbesondere deren Randbereich, anhebbar bzw. dem Schneidbereich zuführbar oder niederdrückbar bzw. außerhalb des Schneidbereiches verbringbar ist.

Un producto alimenticio a modo de porción rectangular y de poco espesor (2b) se hace avanzar en una máquina (10) hasta situarlo ajustadamente entre un cabezal superior (8) y un cabezal inferior (11) con respectivas cuchillas (9, 12) en forma de zig-zag transversales pero contrapuestos, y entre dos cuchillas laterales (13, 14) horizontales, de filo recto y paralelo a los bordes longitudinales del producto (2b). La cuchilla (9 y 12) desciende y asciende respectivamente cortando el producto (2b). Las cuchillas laterales (13, 14) avanzan hacia dicho producto practicándole sendos cortes parciales en sus cantos longitudinales y a mitad de altura de su espesor. El producto obtenido (2b) se estira por dos extremos diagonalmente opuestos y adopta forma de cadena (2c) con sus eslabones (50) cerrados y enlazados sucesivamente.

A method of making a composite tubular article made up of at least two concentric members, the outer of said members being tubular and the inner of said members being at least cylindrical and preferably tubular, and struts disposed in supporting and positioning orientation between the inner and outer members, by extruding a moldable material into the desired profile; stretching the inner tubular member over a cooling mandrel and disposing a cooling sleeve over the outer tubular member under conditions sufficient to solidify the article; twisting and longitudinally pulling the solidified article, so that it rotates over the cooling mandrel and inside the cooling sleeve while it is moving down stream across the cooling mandrel, whereby causing the extrudate to be twisted into a helical shape.

A cutting system (10) for cutting profiles in a strip of air-permeable material (12). The system includes a conveyor path (20) to support the strip of material. A profile cutting tool (30) mounted for movement toward and away from the conveyor path is provided to cut a desired profile across the strip. A hold down (62) is located in proximity to the profile cutting tool to hold the strip of material in position during cutting. A controller (70) is connected to the cutter for activating the cutter to cut the desired profile.

The present invention relates to a method that involves forming a slab of a plastic mixture and cutting the slab into preforms using two cutting instruments. When cutting the slab, the cutting edges of said instruments move in the separation plane of the slab towards each other and from one end position to a second one. It is thus possible to align the positions of the cutting-instrument cutting edges on the separation surface along a line which is located between the two parallel surfaces of the slab, said surfaces being the front surfaces of the ceramic article. The device for cutting the slab of plastic mixture comprises a substrate (1) for receiving the portion of the slab (2) to be cut as well as a cutting mechanism connected to a driver and comprising a blade (7) and a bow (5) with a tensioned string (6). The blade (7) and the bow (5) are mounted so as to be capable of rotation in the separation plane of the slab (2) from one end position into a second one where the cutting edge (8) of the blade (7) and the string (6) are located between the horizontal surfaces (L and L1) of the slab (2), wherein in this position the string (6) is brought into contact with the blade (7).
