    摘要: A computer implemented method for counting animals moving along a pathway having an entrance and an exit, comprising: locating one or more video cameras above the pathway; allowing the animals to move from the entrance to the exit; feeding video data captured by the one or more video cameras of the animals moving along the pathway to a computer system, the computer system configured to: process the video data to extract sequential video frames; for each video frame, implementing an animal detection algorithm trained using one or more machine vision and learning models, the algorithm being configured to utilise quadrangle bounding boxes for detecting individual animals within the frame; evaluate the detection results for successive frames for identifying an individual animal and their current trajectory; based on the identification and trajectory evaluation, determining if the animal has crossed a counting line; and responsive to making a positive determination, updating a count of the animals.
