Abstract:
Embodiments of the present invention relate to digital rights management. A method is proposed, comprising the steps of determining, based on a request from a user, a plaintext portion of a plaintext version of digital content; and retrieving, from an encrypted version of the digital content, an encrypted portion for distribution to the user, the encrypted portion corresponding to the determined plaintext portion, and the encrypted version of the digital content being stored in advance. In accordance with embodiments of the present invention, the specified portion may be retrieved and distributed to the user more efficiently.
Abstract:
This invention provides a method for managing a transaction right in a digital rights management server. The transaction right is the right to a transaction of a utilization right of a digital content item. The method comprises steps of obtaining an attribute associated with the digital content item from metadata of the digital content item; and generating the transaction right on the basis of a pre-stored rule and the attribute of the digital content item. Since the transaction right is generated on the basis of the attribute of the digital content item, or in other words, the transaction right is dependent on the attribute of the digital content item, the generated transaction right of digital content items can be different if the corresponding attribute associated with the digital content items are different. Furthermore, in additional to the metadata, the generation of the transaction right only requires the pre-stored rule, resulting in affordable complexity and cost. Since the transaction right is also dependent on the pre-stored rule, the content providers need not to individually set the transaction right for each digital content item, but are still able to set the transaction right by setting the pre-stored rule.
Abstract:
A system and method for providing directional information to a user using existing infrastructure elements (150) is disclosed. The method comprising determining a route of infrastructure elements (150) between a current location and a remote location, wherein the current location is associated a first element in the route and the last element in the route being closest to the remote location, wherein each of the elements in the route are identified by at least one of: a physical identification and a data identification, and providing a visual indication, progressively, to each of the infrastructure elements in the route at a predetermined time and for a determined period, wherein the progressive display of the visual indication provides for direction control information.
Abstract:
:Proposed are concepts for checking the locality of devices to determine if data (e.g. media content) can be shared between the devices, which may therefore aid secure sharing of data or media content between the devices. In particular, it is proposed that a simple way to check if two devices are in/at the same location (i.e. in close vicinity of each other) is to check if they are visible to each other. By one device displaying information to the other device, the displayed information can be used to confirm that the devices are visible to each and thus infer a shared locality. Such information may comprise (or be based on) information that should only be known to the two devices, thereby facilitating verification of the devices.
Abstract:
Proposed are concepts for generating a contextualized semantic model. In particular, it is proposed to leverage context information from multiple levels of an existing semantic model. By combining the context information from the multiple levels, the semantic model may be refined so as to generate a contextualized semantic model.
Abstract:
The invention provides a method for generating a training set of data for training a classifier relating to a physiological condition. The method begins by obtaining a first set of data relating to a first plurality of subjects and a second set of data relating to a second plurality of subjects, wherein each of the first set of data and the second set of data are grouped into a plurality of subsets of data, wherein the plurality of subsets of data is associated with a plurality of features. Descriptive statistics are calculated for each of the plurality of subsets of data within the first set of data and one or more features within the plurality of features is selected based on the calculated descriptive statistics to generate a search criterion. A supplementary set of data is identified from the second set of data by applying the search criterion to the second set of data. The training data set is then compiled based on the first set of data and the supplementary set of data.p
Abstract:
The invention provides a method for searching a database of ECG data. The method includes, obtaining a reference set of ECG data, wherein the reference set of ECG data comprises ECG data for a plurality of subjects comprising, for each of said subjects, data values for a plurality of characteristic ECG features, and grouping the reference set of ECG data into a plurality of subsets of ECG data, wherein each of the plurality of subsets of ECG data is associated with one of a plurality of characteristic ECG features. A search feature extraction algorithm is applied to the reference set of ECG data to extract at least one characteristic ECG feature as a search feature wherein a search feature is a characteristic ECG feature which enables ECG data of interest to be identified within the database of ECG data and a search criterion is generated based on the search feature. The database is then searched using the search criterion to obtain ECG data of interest.
Abstract:
The invention provides a consent management system for managing a user's consent for a plurality of services. The system includes a consent management unit adapted to register a plurality of services to a user and obtain user consent information associated with the user. The consent management unit is further adapted to control consent operation of the plurality of services registered to the user, based on user consent information associated with the user.
Abstract:
The embodiments disclose a method and a network device for supporting verification of a contract signed between a first party and a second party. The method comprises receiving contract information of the contract; communicating with a first user device of the first party and a second user device of the second party to confirm validity of the contract information; receiving a request of a third user device of a third party for supporting the verification of the contract; encrypting the contract information into a permission token with a private key of the network device; adding the permission token and the contract information to a licence associated with the contract; and sending the licence to the third user device for verification.
