Abstract:
The present invention relates to a device for resting and recovering rested state in a short period, by means of inverting the body liquid column for redistributing the internal medium components, which provides a resting device wherein it comprises a bearer (3) providing support from head (4) to feet (8), which may be provided in a continuous or fragmented way between body segments, containing an internal material (2), moldable to natural relief of the human body, and articulations (7) providing the device with regulation and mobility, allowing feet positioning at a level above the heart.
Abstract:
The purpose of this chair is to use the computer in the most comfortable way, allowing the user to almost be in a horizontal or resting position, with the main objective of displaying the monitor(s) in front of the eyes of the user or achieving a more traditional position, like being in front of a desk using the computer. This is achieved through a series of gears, chains and levers which allow the chair to move doing 3 things at the same time: the back of the chair, when inclined, activates the mechanical movement allowing the foot rest to appear; at the same time it allows the bracket supporting the screen in the back of the chair to appear in front of the eyes of the user, positioning the user almost horizontally and being able to use both the mouse and the keyboard to work with the computer. Additionally, the chair has a lever or pedal allowing the user to work as if in a desk instead of in a horizontal position by making the bracket which holds the monitor behind the back of the chair move to the front of the eyes of the user, but in this case, allowing the chair to be in a more vertical or traditional position. The chair has embedded headphones which allow choosing the height of said headphones, which can be adjusted to the head without pressuring the ears like traditional headphones because said headphones comprise screws that set the maximum the headphones can close. The back of the chair has a mechanism that ensures that the backbone receives less pressure, and at the same time, if the user wishes, can create more pressure, such as in the kidney zone by means of a screw, allowing for manual and comfortable adjustments to the back and adjacent zones.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a bedding system (BS) adapted to be used by any person comprising: (a) a bedding article; and, (b) at least one audio/video means. It should be emphasized that the audio/video means is integrated within said bedding article.
Abstract:
A child's chair and video player combination, comprising a chair having support means arranged for mounting a visual display unit, a video player and an audio output device coupled to the player. The chair model may be a child's high chair enabling it to be used for seating a young child at a table for a family meal. The video player will then provide entertainment for the child so it will sit quietly. In a restaurant, the high chair will enable the family to minimise upsets during a meal and reduce a possible risk of disturbing other diners. For use in a public place, the chair may have a time control unit which is operable by a coin mechanism.
Abstract:
This invention is a time-out chair that allows a child's caregiver to leave the room where the child is taking the time-out, and yet still ensure that the child is staying in the time-out. The chair contains a sensor, such as an infrared sensor or force sensor, which detects when the child has left. The sensor communicates to a microcomputer, which emits an audio and/or visual signal to the child. The audio signal can be selected from several built in signals, recorded or inputted by the caregiver. The microcomputer also may transmit a signal to a remote unit that the caregiver can carry out of the room so that the caregiver is advised that the child has left the time-out. The microcomputer also keeps track of the time remaining in the time-out, and advises the child and/or the caregiver when the time-out is over.
Abstract:
Slipcovers are provided for covering a variety of seating structures. The slipcovers can include a fabric sheet, multi-layered components, extensions, anchors, relaxation mechanisms, and holders, and can be configured to cover all or a portion of a seating structure. The multi-layered components can be removably secured to the fabric sheet by decouplable fasteners or by friction or interaction with a friction enhancing material, non-removably secured to the fabric sheet by sewing, quilting, tufting, gluing, and/or applying an adhesive or bonding agent, or secured to the fabric sheet by extensions inserted into a crevice. The internal layers of a multi-layered component can also be removable, or a multi-layered component can be configured to allow additional layers to be inserted.

Abstract:
The present invention provides a seating apparatus having an adjustable level of firmness. The seating apparatus comprises a base, an inflatable element arranged on the base, and a cover covering the inflatable element. Access means in communication with the inflatable element are provided, enabling inflation of the inflatable element for providing an adjustable firmness in the seating area. The inflatable element may comprise a ring having a center opening. The base may comprise a ring having a center opening coinciding with the center opening of the inflatable element. The cover may comprise a section of permeable material over the center opening. A fan may be affixed within the center opening for providing airflow through the center opening.
Abstract:
A work station having a base, a user support affixed to the base; and an overhead hanger affixed to said base. The overhead hanger has a rear portion extending upwardly behind the user support and an overhead portion extending forwardly above the user support a sufficient distance so that when a user is positioned in the user support, the overhead portion is above the user and a peripheral mounting system affixable to the overhead portion proximate a distal end of the overhead portion.
Abstract:
A workstation particularly for working with a computer terminal and including a desk component (2), which is supported on the floor with the aid of a leg structure (3,4), in such a way that it remains essentially horizontal in different positions of the leg structure, and a seat component (11) supported on the leg structure. The leg structure (3,4) and the support arm (10) of the seat component form an arm arrangement supported by four points (15, 16,17, 19). The backrest (12) of the seat (11) is supported on a continuation (13) of one of the said arms (13').
