Abstract:
A fabric towel with a slider pattern for use on a cleaning surface with at least one fastener to secure the towel to a steam frame. The fabric towel is used with a steam appliance and the slider pattern reduces friction when used on a fabric or carpeted surface yet provides a sufficient amount of towel surface to steam. In one embodiment, the fabric towel is a steam pocket including a top and bottom layer joined around its perimeter with an open side to allow for mounting on a steam frame with fasteners secured to each layer and wrapped around the back of a steam frame. The slider pattern may be a single piece or a plurality of segments secured to the towel. In another embodiment, towel is a steam pad with has at least one fastener for attachment to the steam cleaner frame.
Abstract:
A diffuser with an absorbent substrate for holding a steam diffusible composition, such as a fragrance for mounting on a steam frame of a steam appliance is provided. The steam appliance has a water pump for selectively injecting water from a reservoir to a boiler to generate steam fed into a steam frame with a fabric pad or steam pocket mounted thereon. The steam envelopes the diffuser to dispense a fragrance or other material in the absorbable substrate into the generated steam in response to a user use or movement of the appliance. When steam is generated and passes the diffuser, the composition is heated to a temperature it will vaporize and be distributed with the steam through the fabric pad or steam pocket.
Abstract:
A steam mop having a main body including a water pump for pumping water from a water tank to a steam generator in response to any movement of the mop is provided. Movement of the mop causes a pump actuator to slide within a frame. The actuator has a camming surface with a pump piston rod biased against the camming surface that causes the pump piston rod to move in and out of a pump cylinder when the actuator moves. This operates a the pump to pump water to the steam generator for feeding steam to a steam pad mounted on a mop steam frame connected to the steam generator outlet.
Abstract:
Mop head (1), provided with nozzles (4) for dispensing fluid to a surface and a mop face (2) that is to be passed along that surface, wherein the mop head (1) is provided with a fluid guide (5) for guiding fluid to the nozzles (4), and the mop face (2) comprises a mid face (7) and opposite end faces (8), wherein at least one end face (8) is arranged to extend at an angle with respect to the mid face (7), wherein the angle between the mid face (7) and the at least one end face (8) is larger than 180°.
Abstract:
A steam mop having a main body having a boiler with a water inlet and a steam outlet positioned therein, a pump having an inlet and an outlet with the pump outlet connected to the boiler inlet, a water container for storing water connected to the pump inlet, and a steam pocket frame connected to the steam outlet, where the activation of the pump pumps water from the water container to the boiler for generation of steam. In an embodiment of the invention, a steam mop having a main body with a boiler, a water container, a mechanical water pump between the boiler and container and at least one side arm connecting the boiler steam outlet to a fabric steam pocket frame. The water pump is actuated by movement of the mop when cleaning to send water to the boiler. The steam pad frame is substantially rectangular with a plurality of baffles in a square grid formation extending outwardly to distribute steam to distribute steam between the baffles. A replaceable fabric pad fits snugly on the frame to distribute cleaning steam to the surface to be cleaned.
Abstract:
The present invention provides an attachable steam injection apparatus for mops. The steam injection apparatus for mops includes: a water tank for storing water supplied thereto through a water inlet pipe, with locking snaps provided on the water tank and open at one side thereof to snap to the stick of a mop; a heater installed in the water tank and operated by electricity to heat water in the water tank, thus producing steam; a steam supply pipe extending in the water tank to pass through the bottom wall of the water tank and supplying the steam to the outside of the water tank; and a steam distribution pipe having a T-shaped structure and connected to the steam supply pipe, thus distributing the steam, with at least one steam spraying port formed through the steam distribution pipe to be open downwards. The steam injection apparatus is usable with a conventional mop, and can efficiently sterilize a floor and remove dirt from the floor.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a back-and-forth reciprocating-type mop, comprising a handle (2), a handle lever (3), an upper cover (5), a bottom case (12) and a rubbing plate (16), with a main motor (10), a water tank (7), a water injection motor (8) and eccentric connection rods (9) being provided on the bottom case (12); a rotating shaft of the main motor (10) is connected to an eccentric wheel (17) connected to the eccentric connection rods (9), a fixed hole is respectively provided formed on two ends of the eccentric connection rod (9); slider racks (13), sliders (14) and connection rod cross-pins (15) are provided on the rubbing plate (16), and the sliders (14) are mounted on the slider racks (13); the eccentric connection rods (9) on the bottom case (12) are connected to the rubbing plate (16) by the fixed holes and the connection rod cross-pins (15); the upper cover (5) is located above the bottom case (12), and connected to the handle (2); and a water injection nozzle (11) is provided at a front end of the bottom case (12). With a connection structure of an eccentric wheel (17) and eccentric connection rods (9), a rubbing block (16) connected to the eccentric connection rods (9) is driven by the main motor (10) to do back-and-forth reciprocating motion, so that a slide block (13) plays a role of removing dirt from the floor when coming into contact with the floor, and the cleaning efficiency is greatly improved. Meanwhile, when there is a need to remove stubborn stains, an added water injection mechanism can properly spray water to remove the stubborn stains when its switch (1) is pressed down.
Abstract:
Cleaning articles including a heat engine incorporated therein. The cleaning article may include a substrate (e.g., a non-woven wipe) including one or more layers. The heat engine may be in the wipe or pad, and includes a reactive metal composition which upon contact with a salt water (e.g., saline) composition, reacts to produce heat. The cleaning article may thus produce water vapor and/or steam upon activation of the heat engine. A venting structure may be provided adjacent to or surrounding the heat engine that includes an impermeable material (e.g., impermeable to water and/or air or other gas), which includes one or more vents through the impermeable material. The venting structure directs water vapor and/or steam to a desired face of the cleaning article, away from the user. A heat barrier layer may insulate a user's hand from the generated heat, and/or a handle may be attachable to the pad.
Abstract:
An apparatus (300) for horizontal surface cleaning includes a cleaning head (308) for engaging horizontal surfaces to be cleaned, a handle (302A/302B/302C) pivotally engaging the cleaning head for grasping during horizontal surface cleaning, and a tank (310) affixed to the handle and pivotal therewith relative to the cleaning head. The tank is adapted to contain a surface cleaning liquid. The handle and tank have together an upright orientation during storage and a tilted orientation during horizontal surface cleaning. The tank includes a valve (360/374) that closes during the upright orientation to prevent the liquid from exiting the tank, and opens during the tilted orientation to allow the liquid to exit the tank. The tilted orientation is caused during horizontal surface cleaning.
