Abstract:
The invention is about the support unit for the physically handicapped patient that is used for the unconscious or conscious physically handicapped patient, fulfills the patient's needs automatically or through manually controlled directions, turns into a bed or wheeled handicapped chair when wished, ensures that the patient does physical movements, provides the blood circle by making massage under the lower base of the foot through the vibration of the step under the patient's feet, ensures that the patient defecates depending on the equipments under the seat section (22) of the chair and that defecation is transferred to the sewage system wholly automatically and hygienically without human touch, gaining the patient the freedom of movement.
Abstract:
An occupant transfer system comprising a bed including a mattress or other sleep support structure mounted on an endless belt of flexible material, the belt extending in a loop over a plurality of rotatable drive members extending longitudinally of the bed; drive means adapted to cause rotation of the belt so that the sleep support structure moves laterally across the bed to cause an occupant located on the sleep support structure to be moved laterally across the bed in use; the foot portion being rigidly supported by a foot frame and extending horizontally from the foot frame; the head portion being connected to the foot portion by one or more hinges; the head portion including one or more extensible hinged linkages connected to the head frame; wherein the head frame includes a lifting mechanism movable between lower and upper positions so that the head portion may be reversibly raised to an upwardly inclined position relative to the foot portion.

Abstract:
Abstract:
Abstract:
The patient transfer device has a support surface tiltable about a horizontal axis to facilitate rotation of a patient from the tiltable surface to another surface. The support surface may be cantilevered from a post. The height of the support surface is adjustable, allowing the support to be placed on a bed. The tilting of the support surface facilitates the transfer of the patient from the transfer device to the bed. The transfer device may also be a bed having two sections, each one tiltable towards the other to transfer the patient from one side to the other. The halves may be unitary or separable, allowing one half to be moved away from the other.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to an arrangement in a bed (1) intended for a disabled person and comprising a horizontally rotatable multi-sectional bed base part (3a, 3b) supporting a mattress, the base part being convertible into a seat part (3b) and a backrest part (3a), together with a fixed bed base part (3c). The invention is characterised in that the arrangement furthermore comprises a lifting mechanism 82a) connected to the said rotatable bed base parts (3a, 3b) supporting the mattress, the mechanism 82a) being operatively connected to a safety hook (A), that can be connected to a lifting sling, for example, which is worn by the said person.
