A method of bristle tufting is provided. The method includes providing a plurality of bristles, each bristle having a first, end-rounded end and a second end; grouping the end-rounded bristles into tufts; inserting the second ends of the bristle tufts into a molding cavity of a molding device; fusing the second ends of the bristles in each tuft together within the molding cavity; and forming a brush head surrounding the fused ends of the tufts.

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Reinigungsgerät für die Mundhygiene umfassend ein Reinigungselement und ein mit dem Reinigungselement verbundenes Griffelement. Das Reinigungsgerät ist dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das Griffelement aus einem spritzgegossenen Fasermaterial besteht. Die Erfindung betrifft außerdem ein Verfahren zur Herstellung eines Reinigungsgeräts für die Mundhygiene. Das Verfahren umfasst das Bereitstellung eines Reinigungselements, die Herstellung eines Griffelements durch Spritzgießen eines Fasermaterials, und das Verbinden des Griffelements mit dem Reinigungselement.

An oral care product comprises a package comprising a container and an applicator tip attached to the container. The applicator tip comprises a material having a Shore A hardness of from about 15 to about 80 and has a dispensing orifice in fluid communication with the container. The dispensing orifice has a minimum diameter of at least about 0.5 mm, preferably at least about 1 mm. The oral care product further comprises an oral care composition contained within the container of the package, wherein the oral care composition comprises an oral care active and has a cone penetration value of from about 10 to about 500, preferably from about 100 to about 300.

A brush head (10) and a method for manufacturing a welded tuft assembly (20) for a brush head (10). The method includes inserting a bristle tuft (21) into an opening (51) in a retention element (52). A proximal end of the bristle tuft (23) and a proximal side (53) of the retention element are laser welded to at least partially melt the bristle tuft and at least a portion of the proximal side of the retention element together to create a merged proximal end head portion (26) that holds the welded tuft assembly together.
