Abstract:
An electrorheological fluid comprises a dielectric particle, a conductor particle and insulating oil, and the dielectric particle is evenly dispersed in the insulating oil; wherein the conductor particle is evenly dispersed in the insulating oil or inlaid in an interior and on a surface of the dielectric particle. The electrorheological fluid has the advantages of high shear stress, long service life, good temperature stability and small leakage current.
Abstract:
Provided herein are hydrocarbon mixtures with controlled structure characteristics that address the performance requirements for finished lubricants driven by the stricter environmental and fuel economy regulations. The branching characteristics of the hydrocarbon molecules are controlled to provide a composition that has a unique and superior viscosity - temperature relationship and Noack volatility. An important aspect of the present invention relates to a saturated hydrocarbon mixture with at least 80% of the molecules having an even carbon number, with the branching characteristic of BP/BI in the range ≥ -0.6037 (Internal alkyl branching) + 2.0, where on average at least 0.3 to 1.5 of the internal methyl branches are located more than 4 carbons away from the terminal carbon when analyzed by carbon NMR. The saturated hydrocarbon mixture with such unique branching structure consistently exhibits a stand out performance in the cold crank simulated viscosity (CCS) vs Noack volatility relationship, which allows for the formulation of lower viscosity engine oils with improved fuel economies.
Abstract:
A dielectric fluid composition having negative gassing tendency has been disclosed. The composition comprises a type 1 base oil composition, a type 2 base oil composition and one or more additives selected from an additive package present by weight in a percentage range of about 1% to 2% of the total weight of the dielectric fluid. Wherein, the type 1 base oil composition further comprises plurality of base oils in specific percentage range and similarly, type 2 base oil composition comprises plurality of base oils in specific percentage ranges. The detail composition of the dielectric fluid is disclosed. Also, the dielectric fluid has a negative gassing tendency of about less than or equal to -5 µL/minute.

Abstract:
Electrical oils having improved uninhibited oxidation and electrical resistance are derived by blending a substantially nitrogen and sulfur free paraffinic or naphthenic base oil with a hydrofined light gas oil having a sulfur to nitrogen weight ratio of greater than 100:1 wherein the hydrofined light gas oil is added to the base oil in an amount sufficient to provide a blend having greater than about 0.03 wt% sulfur.
