Abstract:
It is disclosed a method to operate a desktop telephone (400) with Internet Protocol (IP) connectivity in a business social real-time collaboration environment, i.e. using the desktop telephone (400) as terminating point for incoming and outgoing calls or conferences capabilities where the desktop telephone may be located on a desktop or other surface or be wall mounted, with a list of recent calls, contacts (323) and directory search results altogether made available as a single combined conversation list (303) for navigation and for activation for a business social real-time collaboration user, such that the desktop telephone (400) is always up-to-date with the user's social real-time collaboration system; wherein when the said user logs on to his/her social real-time collaboration account the desktop telephone (400) associated with said user is in synchronisation with his/her activities involved with the social real-time collaboration system.
Abstract:
A location of a client in a private network where the client has a plurality of interfaces for using a plurality of internet gateways for coupling with the public internet can be determined by sending, from the client, a plurality of STUN BINDING requests to a STUN server connected to the public internet that each exit through an individual internet gateway, receiving, at the client, a plurality of STUN BINDING responses from the STUN server that each include public IP address mapped to the internet gateway through which the STUN BINDING request has exited the private network, sending, from the client, a plurality of location requests that each include a mapped public IP address and the corresponding private IP address, to a location server for looking up location data for the respective private IP addresses so the client can receive location data relating to the public IP addresses.

Abstract:
An apparatus can be configured to facilitate license distribution and activation. Such an apparatus can utilize a methodology to use at least one interface for activation and verification of a license. The interface may utilize a pre-selected communication protocol so that such communications can be transmitted via a public network (e.g. internet) between an application provider device and one or more customer devices without being blocked by enterprise network firewalls or proxies designed to keep the enterprise network isolated from a public network (e.g. the internet). In some embodiments, the apparatus and method can permit a telecommunication device to communicate with a license server to facilitate generation and/ or activation of a license to run an application. The license server can communicate with an enterprise resource planning device to facilitate invoice generation associated with the license activation communications. Some embodiments can permit continuous validation of the relevant license.
