Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to ways to reduce time for an inter-RAT handover for a voice call. In particular, a user equipment (UE) determines that a voice call by the UE via a new radio (NR) base station has failed to be established within a defined time limit. The UE further determines whether information on a neighbor base station is available at the UE from a past handover event specified between the NR base station and the neighbor base station in response to determining that the voice call has failed to be established via the NR base station, where the neighbor base station may utilize a RAT different from a RAT of the NR base station. The UE further performs a process for providing a voice service via the neighbor base station in response to determining that the information on the neighbor base station is available.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some wireless communications systems, a user equipment (UE) may be configured to operate in a dual subscription mode including a first subscription and a second subscription. The first subscription may be a default subscription, and network access associated with the first subscription may be in accordance with a first route selection policy. The second subscription may be a non-default subscription, where network access associated with the second subscription may be in accordance with a second route selection policy. The UE may determine that the second route selection policy is absent from the UE, and may register with a network associated with the second subscription based on the determination. The UE may monitor for receipt of the second route selection policy associated with the second subscription for a threshold period of time.

Abstract: The apparatus of a wireless communication is a UE. The UE may determine whether a first TA associated with a first LTE anchor cell supports a VoLTE service. If the first TA of the first LTE anchor cell does not support the VoLTE service, the UE bars the first TA so that the UE does not attach to the cell associated with the first TA, and initiate a connection to a second LTE anchor cell and an NR cell associated with a second TA for receiving the VoLTE service, if the second TA of the second LTE anchor cell supports the VoLTE service.

Abstract: A method for registering, to a network, a non-compliant universal integrated circuit card (UICC) of a mobile equipment is described. The method includes selecting a previously used universal subscriber identity module (USIM) application dedicated file (ADF) directory or a previously used USIM ADF subdirectory of the universal integrated circuit card. The method also includes issuing a select command to the universal integrated circuit card to trigger a switch to the selected USIM ADF directory or the selected USIM ADF subdirectory. The method further includes sending an authentication command to the universal integrated circuit card when a current directory of the universal integrated circuit card is switched to the selected USIM ADF directory or the selected USIM ADF subdirectory.
