An improved magnetic switch (10) is provided which is designed for use in an alarm circuit (52) in order to detect relative movement between first and second members such as a door (14) and frame (12), so as to signal unauthorized opening of the door (14). The switch (10) includes a switch assembly for mounting in frame (12) and having first and second switch elements (40,42), a permanently magnetized, shiftable body (44) adjacent the elements (40,42), and a first attractive component (36). Additionally, the switch (10) has a second attractive component (22) for mounting to the door (14), which is in the form of a ferromagnetic component such as a permanent magnet (50) or steel plate (60). In use when door (14) is closed and circuit (52) is armed, the magnetic attraction between body (44) and component (22) shifts the body (44) to a switch-closed position in simultaneous contact with the switch elements (40, 42). If the door (14) is opened, the magnetic attraction between body (44) and component (36) moves the body to a switch-open position out of simultaneous contact with the switch elements (40,42), thus triggering circuit (52). If an intruder attempts to defeat the switch (10) through an external magnet (58), this again moves the body (44) to a switch-open position, triggering the circuit (52).

An improved magnetic switch assembly (16) has a housing (24), a first electrode (40) positioned within the housing (24), a second electrode (42), and a magnetically movable component (48) located within the housing (24) and shiftable between a first position in simultaneous contact with electrodes (40, 42), and a second position out of such simultaneous contact. The electrode (40) has a radially enlarged contact section (44, 58) adjacent the free end thereof which prevents hangup or sticking of component (48) in the first position.

An enclosed proximity switch assembly includes a top enclosure and a bottom enclosure that are coupled to form an interior volume. A shaft protrusion upwardly extends from a top surface of the top enclosure, and an interior bore portion having an enclosed volume is defined within the shaft protrusion to form a portion of the interior volume. A first end of a vertical shaft is rotatably disposed within the interior bore portion such that the shaft rotates relative to the top and bottom enclosures. A samarium cobalt target magnet is coupled to the shaft, and the target magnet interacts with a samarium cobalt driver magnet within a proximity switch when the target magnet is rotated within a predetermined distance of a top portion of the proximity switch. The interaction causes a switch to move from a first state to a second state, or vice versa.

The medical appliance here is further developed in such a way that cleaning of the medical appliance constructed with the adjustment apparatus can be carried out reliably in the simplest manner, while simultaneously the structure and manner of function of the appliance are to be as simple as possible. The medical appliance comprises a first setting device, which is disposed at an outer side on a housing of the appliance, as well as a second setting device, which is disposed in the interior of the appliance and is designed to actuate a setting element for adjustment of a controllable and/or regulatable device. The first setting device and the second setting device each comprise magnet elements, by means of which the first setting device cooperates with the second setting device in such a way that the one setting device actuates the other setting device for the transmission of adjustments, the cooperation of the setting devices being achieved by way of a magnetic coupling.

Die Erfindung betrifft eine elektrische Schaltvorrichtung (1) , insbesondere Hochfrequenz-Schaltvorrichtung, mit wenigstens einem länglichen elektrischen Schaltelement (4), das mit einem Kontaktende (6) zwischen zwei einen Querabstand voneinander aufweisenden Gegenkontaktelementen (7a, 7b) angeordnet ist und durch zwei einen Querbewegungsantrieb (23) bildende Verstellelemente quer zu seiner Längsrichtung wahlweise gegen das eine oder das andere Gegenkontakt element (7a, 7b) bewegbar ist. Die Verstellelemente sind seitlich neben dem Schaltelement (4) angeordnet und quer dazu hin und her bewegbar. Um den Querbewegungsantrieb (23) für das Schaltelement (4) zu verbessern, besteht das Schaltelement (4) wenigstens teilweise aus magnetischem Material, wobei die Verstellelemente durch Magnete (12, 13) gebildet sind.

The invention relates to a magnetic switch arrangement comprising a first magnetic system (24), a second magnetic system (25) and a magnetic switching element (18), wherein the first magnetic system (24) is arranged for biasing the magnetic switching element (18) and the second magnetic system (25) is arranged to interact with the biasing magnetic field from the first magnetic system at the magnetic switching element so that the magnetic switching element is in a predefined state, and wherein the second magnetic system (25) comprises two equally polarised permanent magnets (4, 5) positioned at a predefined distance apart. The advantage of the invention is to provide a magnetic switch arrangement which shows an improved tolerance towards deviations in the magnetic field of the comprised permanent magnets.

The advantage of the invention is to provide a magnetic switch arrangement which compensates for the angular sensitivity of the switching element.
