摘要: The present invention is a TV hearing system that generally includes an analog or digital TV broadcast signal feeding a hearing health interface that subsequently drives the input of a standard television. The hearing health interface further includes a receiver, a digital signal processor (DSP) logic block, a driver, an input/output (I/O) device, and optionally a direct audio driver and/or a radio frequency (RF) transmitter. Pre-established data representing a personal hearing profile of a hearing impaired user that includes correction factors for compensating for the hearing problem is supplied to the DSP logic block. The DSP logic block then selectively modifies the audio relating to the TV broadcast and presents the enhanced audio to the user. Additionally, the present invention includes a business method of establishing a hearing health network to which users may subscribe.

摘要: The present invention is a system for and method of adjusting hearing aids (130) by discrete frequency ranges (fig.3a); continual tuning and reprogramming of the hearing aid is accomplished in real time via iterations between a patient (with hearing aid in ear, 120) and an audiologist (131). A test tone or other sound is played and the patient gives feedback on the test tonei’s suitability (such as loudness). The hearing aid (130) is further tuned and reprogrammed accordingly as the sound is replayed and the patient (120) gives additional feedback. These steps continue until the patient (120) considers the hearing optimized, compensating for both the patient's hearing loss and individual preferences in the discrete frequency ranges. The following are twelve commonly tested frequency ranges: 125 Hz, 250 Hz, 750 Hz, 1000 Hz, 1500 Hz, 2000 Hz, 3000 Hz, 4000 Hz, 5000 Hz, 6000 Hz, 8000Hz, and 10,000 Hz.

摘要: The present invention relates to hearing aid training systems (100). More particularly, the present invention relates to the simulation of a hearing aid environment (108) prior to a user’s (105) purchase of a hearing aid. To create the simulated environment, the user’s hearing profile (111) is collected from all prior hearing tests. Prior hearing tests include information on all aspects of the user’s hearing, such as frequency and speech intelligibility. The software program (126) of this invention, and the audiologist using the software program (126), analyzes the user’s hearing profile and creates a simulation that demonstrates to the user how he or she would hear with a hearing aid. Furthermore, this invention provides a way to make additional adjustments to the hearing aid’s DSP data based upon user preferences prior to ordering the individual customized hearing aid.

摘要: This invention focuses on electrooptic devices and in particular on electrochromic devices with many aspects directed towards automotive EC mirrors. There are several ways to improve these products and their processing using this invention and some of the prominent ones are outlined below. This invention improves on the devices by disclosing new compositions for electrodes and methods of depositing them. It also addresses novel ways to provide busbars to power these devices in order to improve their performance. The device processing attributes and performance are also improved by adhesive compositions and solid electrolytes disclosed herein. In addition sensors are also disclosed which are novel for use in electrochromic mirrors. The invention also discloses how the electrolytes comprising ionic liquids have no adverse effect on attributes of commercial EC mirrors and often result in improved performance and/or feature enhancements.

摘要: There is shown a method of treating household waste comprising separation, shredding and dewatering steps, as well as detoxifying steps, prior to mixing the household waste with an alkali solution and thereafter mixing the alkali solution and household waste mixture with a dry mixture of cement and aggregate to form a concrete mixture. The concrete mixture can then be used in the construction of building elements or may in turn be used as an aggregate material in future concrete mixtures. Expensive composting steps are thereby avoided and the household waste is handled in an environmentally secure, yet efficient manner.
