The present invention relates to a broadcasting receiver and a non-real-time service processing method performed by the broadcasting receiver to receive and process services that are transmitted in the non-real-time mode. The non-real-time service processing method performed by a broadcasting receiver comprises: receiving a signaling information table containing additional information on contents that constitute non-real-time services and content IDs for respective contents; acquiring the additional information on contents and the content IDs for respective contents from the signaling information table; based on the additional information on the contents and the content IDs, storing contents being downloaded through FLUTE or Internet in a storage medium; and displaying a recording list containing the contents stored in the storage medium, wherein a recording list screen where the recording list is displayed contains at least one of content name, channel name, recorded date and content size.

Herein, a method includes downloading a widget application from a server, executing the downloaded widget application at a browser, requesting a video test stream through the executed widget application to the server and managing the video functionality and the video quality on the screen using the video test stream.

A method of displaying an NRT service guide in a DTV receiver, method comprises receiving a digital television (DTV) signal in a receiving unit, the DTV signal comprising a Non-Real-Time Content Table (NCT) containing content information describing a content delivery bit rate indicating an estimated time required to download the content from the NCT, and announcing an NRT service guide through displaying in a display, the displayed NRT service guide including estimated time required to download the content.

A 3D caption display method for harmoniously merging and displaying closed caption with 3D image in a 3D display apparatus, and a 3D display apparatus suitable for implementing the method. The 3D display apparatus receives a broadcast signal containing caption data, and obtains caption control commands including a 3D parameter setting command from the caption data. Afterwards, the 3D display apparatus displays a plurality of 3D caption images according to the caption control commands.

A method of processing additional information related to an announced service or content in a Non-Real Time (NRT) service and the broadcast receiver are disclosed herein. A method of providing a Non-Real Time (NRT) service in a broadcasting receiver includes receiving a service map table (SMT) and a first descriptor through a service signaling channel, identifying an image identifier and an image type of an image for an NRT service based upon the first descriptor, receiving the image via a flute session and displaying the image when corresponding service is played, wherein the image is logo or icon data for the NRT service. The method may further include connecting a service signaling channel, parsing the received SMT and the first descriptor, determining whether a service is the NRT service based upon the parsed SMT and storing the received image.

A receiving system and a data processing method are disclosed. The receiving system includes a receiving unit, a demodulator, a first handler, and a second handler. The receiving unit receives a broadcast signal including fast information channel (FIC) data, mobile service data, and a service signaling channel, the FIC data including a field indicating that a table signaling service guide bootstrap information to the service signaling channel is included therein, and the mobile service data and the service signaling channel are packetized into an RS frame belonging to a desired ensemble. The demodulator demodulates the received broadcast signal. The first handler acquires service guide bootstrap information from the table included in the service signaling channel. And, the second handler accesses a service guide announcement channel by using the service guide bootstrap information.

The present invention relates to a service providing method and a mobile broadcast receiver. One embodiment of the service providing method according to the present invention includes the steps of: receiving a file constituting a non-real-time service, and first signaling information and second signaling information, which are IP-packetized and contained into a single ensemble; constructing a service guide by using the first signaling information acquired from the ensemble, and displaying the service guide; acquiring first content discriminating information for the content selected from the displayed service guide; making a connection to a flute session by using the second signaling information acquired from the ensemble, and acquiring second content discriminating information matched to the first content discriminating information from the connected flute session; and receiving at least one or more files constituting the relevant content on the basis of the acquired second content discriminating information, and storing the received files.

A digital broadcasting system and a data processing method are disclosed. A receiver receives a broadcast signal including mobile service data and main service data. A known data detector detects known data from the broadcast signal. An equalizer performs channel equalization on the mobile service data received by means of the detected known data. An RS frame decoder acquires an RS frame from the channel-equalized mobile service data. A management processor extracts a Generic Stream Encapsulation (GSE) packet from a GSE Base Band (BB) constructing one row of the RS frame, and calculates an IP datagram from the extracted GSE packet. A presentation processor displays broadcast data using data contained in the calculated IP datagram.
