Abstract:
An image forming apparatus, a method of controlling paper feeding thereof, and a computer-readable recording medium containing code to perform the method. The image forming apparatus includes a lift configured to supply loaded paper to a feed roller, a motor configured to move the lift so that the paper reaches and contacts the feed roller, a sensor configured to measure current that flows through the motor, and a controller configured to control driving of the motor according to a measured level of the current.
Abstract:
Abstract:
An apparatus for actuating a lift plate of a media tray is disclosed herein. An example of the apparatus includes a rocker assembly adjacent the lift plate and a slide assembly coupled to the rocker assembly to actuate the rocker assembly subsequent to insertion of the media tray in a printing device, thereby raising the lift plate. The apparatus additionally includes a lock assembly to secure the slide assembly and a latch assembly coupled to the lock assembly to release the lock assembly upon initiation of opening of the media tray, thereby allowing the lift plate to lower prior to such removal. A media tray and method for actuating a lift plate of a media tray are also disclosed herein.
Abstract:
A sheet feeding roller (101) which feeds a sheet stacked on a sheet supporting plate (110) capable of being lifted and lowered is supported by a support portion (71a) as being linearly movable in an up-and-down direction, and a roller biasing member (103) applies a force to the support portion (71a) in a direction in which the sheet feeding roller (101) is pressed to a sheet stacked on the sheet supporting plate (110). A biasing direction (101b) of the sheet feeding roller (101) due to the roller biasing member (103) is set within a range between a normal line of the sheet feeding roller (101) at the upstreammost pressing position against the sheet feeding direction and a normal line of the sheet feeding roller (101) at the downstreammost pressing position out of the pressing positions where the sheet feeding roller (101) is pressed to the sheet as being varied in accordance with a sheet stacking state of the sheets.
Abstract:
A large capacity automatic printer paper tray operatively mounts a printing device to its upper extent. A paper support is disposed in a frame of the paper tray and is slideably supported by vertical frame rails. A drive screw rotatably secured in the frame is operatively coupled to the paper support. An actuator motor operatively drives the drive screw to raise and lower the paper support. Lower and upper limit sensors control the motor to limit downward and upward movement of the paper support. A paper pick-up interface plate transfers a top paper from the paper support into a paper pick-up roller of the mounted print device, via a feed roller of the print device. A pull-track sensor operates the motor to maintain a top level of paper on the paper support between a minimum and a maximum pull-track threshold.
