Abstract: The invention relates to a device for removing animal feces, comprising a frame part (1) together with a feces bag (2) and comprising a handle part (3) having a retention or ejection mechanism having a trigger, wherein the frame part (1) can be inserted into the handle part (3) and can be fixed in a position by means of the retention or ejection mechanism and can be decoupled and ejected by actuating the trigger. In order to be able to pick up animal feces from the ground in a reasonable and hygienic manner and then dispose of the animal feces cleanly, the trigger is designed as a substantially one-piece retention or triggering element that can be manually actuated, in particular as a triggering lever (4), on the handle part (3), and the frame part (1) has a groove (8), into which the retention or triggering element directly engages and locks when the frame part (1) is inserted such that the frame part (1) is fixed in the handle part (3). The invention further relates to a method for removing animal feces.
