Described is a device for the controlled and sequential discharge of plant branches to the inlets of positioning devices of an installation for inspecting and processing branches, characterised by a series of inlet positions for branches to be transported, each having an outlet end being opposite the inlet end of a tube-shaped transporting conduit provided with a controllable closing device and a pressurized air ejector, in which a number of ejector outlets is connected to a collecting manifold with one single outlet conduit and with a second ejector, and in which the outlet of each second ejector is connected to the inlet of a transport conduit which ends above the inlet of a positioning device, and being provided with a central controlling unit to control the respective first ejectors, the respective second ejectors and the respective closing devices.

A warning apparatus (1) for speed traps is described, comprising: - a control member (10) with a user input (11), a user output (19) and a system of detection signal inputs (12); - an input member (20) connected to the user input (11), to be operated by a user; - a signalling member (30) connected to the user output, for generating a warning signal perceptible to a user; - a system of at least two functional units (40), each adapted for detecting circumstances indicating the possibility of a speed trap, the different functional units having mutually different principles of operation; wherein each functional unit is connected to a corresponding detection signal input (12) of the control member (10); wherein the control member is adapted, on receiving a detection signal at at least one of the detection signal inputs (12), to generate a control signal for the signalling member at its output (19); wherein at least one of the functional units can be switched off individually and selectively.

A dispensing method for medication packaged in compartments of a tape stored in a container enhances medication safety by simplifying the administering of medication in that each compartment holds all medication doses to be administered to a patient in the predetermined time period. Via a closed loop system the responsible person is informed of the administering to ensure. The chance that the patient takes the medication at an undesirable moment is thus reduced.

A camera (1) is described, comprising a camera housing (100), which is provided with shield plates (210, 220) mounted along the side walls (130, 140) and a channel (123) arranged against the upper wall (120) at the outside for a forced air flow (AFl) for controlling the temperature. In the front wall (110), a viewing opening (111) with a viewing glass (112) is located, provided at the outer side with a water-repellent coating of titanium oxide. At the front side of the camera housing, the air flow is bent and guided along the viewing glass. The interior (170) of the camera housing is subdivided into two thermal zones (171, 172), wherein the image pick-up chip is arranged in the rear zone while the front zone is provided with heating means for heating the viewing glass and the entrance lens of the lens system.

The annular inner device is not completely closed but extends over an angle (α) smaller than 360°. The method comprises the steps of : measuring the reaction force (FL) between axle (21) and frame (10) at a first connecting point (22) ; measuring the reaction force (FL) between axle (21) and frame (10) at a second connecting point (23); and adding the two measured reaction forces (FL; FR) .

Colourfast urea composition having reduced compressibility, cake formation and tendency of re-crystallization of the urea granulate, wherein the granulate further contains at least two different biodegradable polymers, of which at least one polymer is preferably a polyalkenyl amine compound. The other polymer is preferably polyaspartic acid or polyvinyl alcohol. The invention further relates to a process for the preparation of such a urea composition.

A transmission system (1), for instance of a bicycle, is described, comprising a drive wheel (2), a driven wheel (3), and a coupling chain (4) having a first chain half (4C) and a second chain half (4D). The transmission system is provided with a measuring device (6) for providing a measurement signal which is representative for the torque transmitted by the coupling chain (4). This measuring device (6) comprises a transverse force sensor arranged within the span of the coupling chain (4) in the form of a wheel (10) rotatably mounted on a supporting arm (20), which wheel touches the first chain half (4C) and the second chain half (4D). The measuring device provides a measurement signal which is a measure for the component (Fv) , directed substantially perpendicular to the plane (L) defined by the rotation axes of the drive wheel (2) and the driven wheel (3), of the resultant (FDR) of the transverse forces (FDC, FDD) exerted to the sensing wheel (10) by the chain halves (4C, 4D).
