Abstract:
The present disclosure relates generally to a light emitting diode (LED) luminaire. In one embodiment, the LED luminaire includes an enclosure having an interior volume and a flat side along a length of the enclosure, wherein the flat side comprises an inside surface and an outside surface, wherein the enclosure comprises an extruded optically clear plastic and one or more LEDs coupled to one or more circuit boards, wherein the one or more circuit boards are mounted on the inside surface of the flat side of the enclosure.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for making a lamp chain, comprising the following steps: a) providing a tooling (7) provided with a cavity (8) therein, wherein multiple lens-like holes (9) spaced apart from each other at a predetermined distance are formed in the bottom of the cavity (8); b) placing a circuit board (3) mounted with multiple illuminants (4) in the cavity (8) and keeping the circuit board (3) away from the bottom of the cavity (8) at a predetermined distance; wherein each lens-like holes (9) correspond to the positions of the each illuminants (4) at the circuit board (3); c) injecting glue into the cavity (8) until the glue fully fills the cavity (8); and d) solidifying the glue. The present invention also relates to a corresponding lamp chain. The present invention can realize at low cost and high efficiency optical properties of a lamp, especially adjustment of light distribution.
Abstract:
A lighting system adapted for being retrofit into a conventional lighting fixture, or adapted to replace the conventional fixture. The lighting system includes a lighting device having a substrate and a plurality of light-emitting elements disposed on the substrate. The lighting system further includes a power supply for delivering D/C current to the lighting device. The lighting device may be installed into a conventional lighting socket in the conventional lighting fixture or mounted independently utilizing some parts of the conventional fixture. The power supply is installed into the conventional lighting fixture or other suitable fixture external to the lighting device. In exemplary embodiments, the lighting system includes a plurality of lighting devices rotatably mounted in the conventional lighting fixture. Each lighting device is powered by an independent power supply and may be independently rotated and powered to customize light coverage.
Abstract:
The present embodiments provide channel letter lighting devices and/or systems. A lighting system (10), comprising a plurality of electrically connected lighting units (12), comprising conductors (14, 16) to provide an electrical signal to each of the units. Each of the lighting units comprise a housing, a printed circuit board (PCB) (22) mounted within the housing (24) and having a plurality of tabs (60) and a plurality light emitting elements (18, 19, 20) on the tabs. The tabs are angled in relation of the remainder of the PCB or housing. The electrical signal applied to the light emitting elements causes them to emit light substantially away from said housing. The lighting system further comprises a sealant (36) within the housing filling cavities around the light emitting elements and the cavity around said PCB and a mounting mechanism for mounting the unit to a structure.
Abstract:
A linear light emitting diode ("LED") light fixture includes LED modules that interface with one another to provide a substantially continuous array of LED's. This continuous array allows for substantially uniform light output from the LED light fixture. The LED modules can interface with one another via one or more connectors, which allow two or more LED modules to be electrically and mechanically coupled together. The connectors may be disposed beneath the LED's so that the connectors are not visible when the LED modules are coupled together. The connectors may be disposed along opposite ends of the modules to allow for end-to-end configurations of the modules and/or along side ends of the modules to allow for angled or curved configurations of the modules. The LED modules can be powered via one or more wires, magnets, or clips, which are coupled to a power source.
