Abstract:
An assembly consisting of a movable scaffolding or "ESCAMOBILE" designed as a tubular metal construction provided with a multidirectional system for controlling the actuation of a wheel set operated by a drag link (2) and a control lever (1) actuating the means (4) in the tubular system (6) that contains the mechanical parts according to the inventive concept and the invention provided for use in all industries as a movable scaffolding. The present invention and inventive concept relate to an alternate lock/drive steering system for moving a person or a load in any direction by successively locking and actuating drive wheels. The lightweight basic model mainly designed and intended for general use may be adjusted to working heights of 2.5-4 metres. When folded, it fits into a box 1130 mm long, 570 mm wide and 190 mm tall, thus enabling it to be transported in a private car.
Abstract:
In the field of materials handling, e.g., in warehouses, there is a need for a low-cost shelving access system which does not require a user thereof to carry objects whilst negotiating, e.g., ladders and steps. The disclosure relates to an apparatus including a framework (11); a generally vertical ladder (12a, 12b) secured to the framework; and a goods hoist (20) secured to the framework in such a way that the platform (22a, 22b) of the goods hoist (20) may be manoeuvred to a plurality of locations adjacent the ladder (12a, 12b). The ladder (12a, 12b) is moveable laterally on the framework to enable the platform (22a, 22b) of the goods hoist to access any position within the envelope defined by the framework (11).
