본 발명은 현미를 씻지 않고 취반이 가능한 백미 즉 클린 라이스(무세미)로 가공할 수 있는 정미기용 절삭 링 및 이를 구비한 절삭 링 조립체에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 따른 절삭 링은, 일정한 두께의 링 형상이고, 외주면에 쌀알이 통과되면서 쌀겨가 절삭되도록 링의 양 측면을 연결하도록 형성된 복수의 절삭 통로를 구비한다. 절삭 통로는 링의 양 측면으로 연장되는 채널 형상이고, 채널은 바닥면과 바닥면의 양측에서 연장된 한 쌍의 측면을 포함한다. 또한, 도정시에 쌀겨를 원활하게 배출하고 쌀알을 냉각하기에 충분한 공기를 공급하도록 구성된 정미기용 절삭 링 조립체를 포함한다.

The present invention relates to an abrasive roll assembly (20), a conveyor assembly (10) and a milling machine (100) having the same. The abrasive roll assembly comprises an abrasive roll element (40) configured for milling food grains. An abrasive roll flange (21) is composed of a projecting member (22) formed on its outer periphery, a set of through holes (27) configured for mounting the abrasive roll flange to an adjacent flange by means of fasteners (51), a set of projecting lugs (23) formed on its upper portion, with resting and guiding portions (23a, 23b), a set of projecting pads (24) arranged with threaded holes (24a) for mounting the adjacent flange, and a set of guiding members (25) circumferentially spaced apart each other to form a set of openings (26) for entry and exit of the adjacent flange. A supporting plate (30) is placed in opposite to the projecting member of the abrasive roll flange, such that the supporting plate is fastened to the abrasive roll flange using fasteners to secure and hold the abrasive roll element. Such arrangement facilitates easy removal and replacing of the worn- out roll assembly without dismantling all components of the milling machine and without altering pulley and axial alignment.

An apparatus and method for abrading the surface of objects are disclosed. The apparatus comprises a chamber, an abrasive surface defining a wall of said chamber and drive means for moving the abrasive surface relative to the chamber. In use, the aforementioned relative movement promotes circulation of the objects within the chamber, wherein the chamber is shaped such that regions of flow stagnation of the objects within the chamber are avoided or minimized. Additionally or alternatively, the chamber may be shaped to approximate the peripheral flow path of the objects within the chamber.

A continuous process for separating components of flaxseed is described. Flaxseed is dried to a moisture content of from about 0.5% to about 3.0%, after which is introduced into a separation chamber having an abrasive rotator therein. As the flaxseed passes over the abrasive rotator, contact with rotator separates the flaxseed components into hulls and kernels. Hulls and kernels are separated and may be used in this form or processed further. Hulls may be further processed by extraction with water and with hexane to remove flaxseed gum and oil, respectively. These two extractions may be done in any order. The process results in a lignan-rich component of flaxseed, a gum extract and oil. These separate components of flaxseed may be used in products such as feed, personal care products or nutraceuticals.

La presente solicitud se refiere a elementos y máquinas para el procesamiento selectivo de frutos o granos. En particular, la presente invención se refiere a un pechero que cuenta con canales donde se fijan insertos elásticos, que cuentan con un perfil transversal en forma de C y que presentan cortes a lo largo de su superficie, el cual permite el procesamiento selectivo de mezclas de frutos o granos maduros y verdes al facilitar la aplicación de presión individual. Asimismo, la invención se refiere a una máquina despulpadora horizontal que incluye un pechero con insertos elásticos, que despulpa selectivamente granos maduros y la cual puede ser acoplada a un módulo de separación. La invención también se refiere a un método para el procesamiento selectivo de mezclas de frutos o granos maduros y verdes empleando la máquina despulpadora de la invención.
