摘要: Methods of creating additive manufactured parts from expanding foam material include printing a part made of an expandable foam, using an additive manufacturing system. The foam is printed in an unexpanded state and has a closed layer at an external surface of the part. Expansion of the part is controlled, using the additive manufacturing system, wherein the expansion is performed after the printing. Methods also include modeling an expansion of a part made of an expandable foam, and printing the part made of the expandable foam, using an automated additive manufacturing system and according to the modeling. The foam is printed in an unexpanded state and has a closed layer at an external surface of the part.

摘要: A method of forming an object by additive manufacturing within a furnace defining a cavity is provided. The method comprises: moving a build plate from a raised position to a lowered position within a cavity, the build plate for receiving build material to form an object thereon while moving from the raised position to the lowered position; and sintering the object within the furnace. The sintering comprises releasing heat from the cavity in the furnace by opening the upper lid. A furnace for additive manufacture of an object is further provided.

The post-processing agent can include a curable epoxy resin, where the epoxy resin, when cured, has a higher elastic modulus than the thermoplastic polymer particles.

Das Verfahren ermöglicht die Fertigung von Bauteilen mittels Materialextrusion mit verringerter Oberflächenrauheit auch an nicht sichtbaren Oberflächen, ohne hierzu eine Nachbearbeitung durchführen zu müssen.

摘要: The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for forming a three-dimensional metal component comprising the steps of: depositing onto a substrate provided on a stage at least one green layer formed by means of an extruder depositing a string of feedstock material, which layer corresponding to a slice of a digital model of said three-dimensional meal component, wherein said green layer is constituted by a mixture of metal particles and binder composition, debinding said at least one green layer for forming a brown layer by impinging an energy beam from an energy source having a first setting onto a top surface of said green layer provided on said substrate on said stage, wherein said debinding removes most of said binder composition, sintering the brown layer for forming a meal layer by impinging an energy beam from an energy source having second setting onto a top surface of said brown layer, and repeating steps a-c until the three-dimensional metal component is finished.

The outer surface of the 3D printed object a) comprises pores that absorb the solvent and b) has a surface roughness, Ra, of greater than 5 µm. The method also comprises dissolving a portion of the 3D printed object to tailor the surface roughness, Ra, of the 3D printed object to a value of from 0.5 to 4 µm.
