A method and apparatus is provided for the automated discharge of treated sewage sludge to trucks, via inventory management by tracking the flow of sludge from bins in which it is located to trucks, on a first-in/first-out basis, including automated truck positioning, automated precision truck loading and monitoring and controlling the various interrelated components via a PLC computer program.

The present invention refers to a container filling head, particularly for filling bins with agricultural products, in particular fruit. In present systems, the filling heads are rotating devices arranged vertically above the bins; they operate in a continuous mode and independently of the flow of vegetable products to be charged into the bin. In addition, their operation is made to depend only in an approximate way on the presence of produce inside the bins, and this causes an irregular filling of the bins, with resulting problems both in the overall final filling level, and thus also with accompanying costs, and in the quality of the produce put into the bins. The apparatus includes a bin filling head, a disk arranged under said head and consisting of two plates of known type overlying each other, each provided with one or more respective openings arranged radially to the rotating plate, and a plurality of sensors underneath said disk. These sensors detect the presence of said products at a predefined vertical distance from the lower plate, in which are arranged suitable control means that detect the instantaneous position of each of said two overlying rotating plates, and that determine individually the speed of rotation of each of said rotating plates in a manner that depends on a pre-coded external signal generated by said sensors and by said instantaneous positions of said rotating plates. Said control unit processes the information received and controls the respective angular speed of said plates so that the respective openings are vertically aligned in correspondence of the information received in order to distribute the produce inside the bin in those angular positions in which the absence of underlying produce is sensed.

Apparatus for metering and vaporizing a particulate material, includes: a metering device having: a reservoir for receiving particulate material; a housing having an internal volume and having first (254) and second openings (200); a rotatable shaft (270) disposed in the internal volume, the shaft having a smooth surface and a circumferential groove (275); a rotating agitator (290) with a plurality of tines (295) disposed in the reservoir and cooperating with the rotating shaft for fluidizing particulate material and transporting it from the reservoir into the groove; cooperating such that particulate material is transported by the groove; a scraper (280) cooperates with the groove to dislodge particulate material retained therein, and deliver metered amounts of particulate material through the second opening; the rotatable shaft and the scraper cooperates to fluidize the particulate material at the second opening; and a flash evaporator that flash vaporizes the received particulate material.

Beschrieben wird eine Vorrichtung zur dosierten Entnahme von Schüttgut aus einem Behälter (1), der eine obere Schüttgut-Einfüllöffnung (3) und eine untere Schüttgut-Entnahmeöffnung (5, 45) aufweist, mit einem Rotor, der mit wenigstens einem im Inneren des Behälters nahe dessen rotationssymmetrischem Boden (34) angeordneten, zur Entnahmeöffnung gerichteten Räumarm (76, 74, 72) antriebsmäßig verbunden ist. Um eine Vorrichtung zur Entnahme von Schüttgut aus einem Behälter zu schaffen, bei der die Masse des entnommenen Schüttgutes nicht nur sehr genau dosiert werden kann, sondern die auch konstruktiv einfach und sehr gut wartungsfreundlich ist, ist vorgesehen, dass der Räumarm an der Unterseite eines mit dem Rotor antriebsverbundenen Trennelementes (5) befestigt ist, und dass unterhalb des Trennelementes vor dem Räumarm eine Beruhigungszone vorgesehen ist, die einerseits zum Schüttgut nur über eine Einzugsöffnung (56) und andererseits zur Entnahmeöffnung offen ist.
