Abstract:
Abstract:
In an aspect of the disclosure, a method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus are provided. The apparatus may be a broadcast multimedia receiver device. The apparatus detects a signal causing interference at a first radio of the receiver device. The first radio is configured to receive broadcast multimedia transmissions. The apparatus determines a RAT associated with an aggressor entity transmitting the signal. The aggressor entity is physically remote from the receiver device. The apparatus determines a mitigation action to mitigate the interference caused by the signal at the first radio. The apparatus transmits, at a second radio of the receiver device, a control message to the aggressor entity. The control message instructs the aggressor entity to implement the mitigation action. The second radio is configured to communicate with the aggressor entity using at least one RAT or a wired interface.
Abstract:
An RF transmission system comprises an RF transmitter receiving a base band media signal and generating a broadcast signal on a broadcast frequency. The broadcast frequency may be one of a plurality of transmission frequencies within a frequency band. A radio data control module periodically performs an interference detection measurement to determine whether an interfering signal from a remote transmitter exists at the broadcast frequency. An open frequency is selected if an interfering signal from a remote transmitter exists at the broadcast frequency. The open frequency may be one of the plurality of transmission frequencies wherein RF interference is within predetermined acceptance criteria. The RF transmission system transmits an identification of the open frequency on the broadcast frequency and, following such transmission, switches the broadcast frequency to such open frequency.
Abstract:
Error sampling broadcast data is disclosed. One embodiment includes a system. The system includes a main station, a plurality of receivers, and one or more sampling stations. The main station broadcasts information to one or more predetermined regions. The plurality of receivers are in each of the predetermined regions and receive the information broadcasted. The one or more sampling stations are within the predetermined regions and receive the same information broadcasted by the main station and then convey information regarding reception back to the main station.
