Abstract:
An automatic faucet assembly (12) includes a chassis (36) and a cover (34) removably connected to the chassis (36), wherein both chassis (36) and cover (34) extend above the surface of a deck (16) of a sink basin. The chassis (36) has a mounting section for mounting the chassis (36) to the surface of the deck (16). A deck plate (14) is mounted between the mounting section and the surface to provide support and stability to the faucet assembly (12). The faucet assembly (12) further includes: a fluid conduit (42) extending through the chassis (36) and connecting to a fluid discharge port (40) with a fluid supply (64); an infrared sensor (44) mounted on the chassis (36) for sensing the presence of a user of the faucet assembly (12); and an electrical connector wire (24) extending from the infrared sensor (44), through an opening in the deck (16), to a solenoid valve (20) that turns on the fluid supply (64) when infrared sensor (44) senses the presence of the user.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein is a plumbing spout (10) that has back flow protection. The spout (10) positions a check valve vacuum breaker (40) underneath a up knob (12) in a plug assembly (33). The spout (10) provides back flow protection even though it has no fluid control valve for controlling flow through to the outlet.

Abstract:
The present invention relates to a faucet (10) which includes a one-piece manifold body (12) and a swivel spout (14) pivotably mounted on the body (12). The body (12) preferably has first and second leg portions (32, 34) for accepting fluid flow therethrough. The faucet (10) may also preferably include an escutcheon (16) coupled to the body (12), a cartridge (30) coupled to the body (12), and a retainer ring (130) interposed between the cartridge (30) and the body (12). In one preferred embodiment, the faucet (10) may include an auxiliary outlet mechanism which may include a diverter valve (118) disposed in the body (12), as well as a hand spray (22) coupled to the body (12) and in fluid communication with the diverter valve (118).
Abstract:
A self-closing faucet (10) includes a hollow body (12) with a spout (14). The hollow body contains an integral plumbing sub-assembly (45) that has a solenoid valve (30) supplied by an inlet tube (40) and connected to a spout tube (42) that extends through the spout to an outlet opening at a remote end of the spout. An actuator assembly (18) coupled to the housing includes a timer circuit (29) that controls the solenoid valve to send water from the faucet for a predefined period of time. A switch (32) triggers the timer circuit upon activation by a user operable mechanism on the faucet.
Abstract:
A tap used for controlling the flow of liquid, such as water, oil, or gas, is disclosed. The liquid control tap of this invention has a valve capable of being effectively operated using inexhaustible energy, such as gravity, hydraulic pressure, buoyancy, magnetic force, frictional force, or elasticity. In the tap, a connection pipe, used for the purpose of connecting the tap body to a separate device such as a shower device, is integrated with the rear portion of the tap body into a single structure. The tap is also provided with an eccentric union for controlling the vertical position of the outlet port of the tap. Therefore, the present invention reduces the number of parts, the manufacturing process, improves productivity, and reduces the manufacturing cost of taps.
Abstract:
An apparatus, method and system for providing and dispensing various hand care alternatives from a common point of dispension, such as a faucet, for standardizing the hand care, washing, sanitizing, and drying process is disclosed. Included is a liquid flow path having an inlet in fluid communication with a liquid source and an outlet in fluid communication with a user reception point. A secondary flow path has an inlet in communication with one or more hand care alternatives and an outlet in communication with the user reception point. A first pump operatively connected to the hand care alternative and a second pump, independent from the first, pumps air. The air and hand care alternative may be mixed and foamed. In use, the air pump can provide clearing, drying and mixing functions independent from the first pump.
Abstract:
A modular sensor activated faucet assembly (100) provides a spout (110) that can be coupled and removed from its mounting base (120) for installation and service. A water tight connection can be established between the mounting base and the spout by plugging the spout into the base. A seamless spout construction defining a hollow interior bifurcated by integral internal wall structure provides a wet chamber between its mounting end and the outlet and a flow pipe (103) inside the spout. The modular base provides a cooperating flow pipe (127). When the spout is mounted onto the base, the flow pipes (103, 127) are configured to nest together in close relation such that one or more seals (123) can be disposed between the flow pipes to provide a water tight seal between the spout and base.
Abstract:
A faucet assembly for dispensing liquid from a beverage source includes a housing having a body and a cover coupled to the body. The body is configured to mount to a structure associated with the beverage source. The cover is movable relative to the body while the body is connected to the structure to provide access to an interior of the housing. The faucet assembly also includes an insert positioned within the housing in fluid communication with the beverage source to direct the liquid through the housing. The insert is removable from the housing when the cover is moved to provide access to the interior of the housing. The faucet assembly further includes an actuator supported by the housing. The actuator is movable relative to the housing to selectively inhibit fluid flow through the insert.
