Abstract:
Embodiments of the present invention provide systems and methods for delivering a contraceptive device to an ovarian pathway. The contraceptive device is within an enclosure in a first position. In a second position, the contraceptive device is positioned at the ovarian pathway, by actuating a first actuator. The contraceptive device is then expanded and released from the delivery system by actuating a second actuator.
Abstract:
Systems and methods for treating a female reproductive system are disclosed. An intrafallopian device, which may be at least partially non-conductive, is delivered to a fallopian tube. A subsequent uterine ablation may be performed. The ablation element may include insulators at portions of the ablation element contactable with a fallopian tube or intrafallopian device.
Abstract:
A system for treating a female patient to promote pregnancy comprising a restriction device adapted to postoperatively restrict and release an oviduct of the patient.

Abstract:
A delivery catheter (1) with a plug (20) ejection mechanism with a fluid filled actuator incorporated in the catheter's handle (2) is disclosed. After delivery of RF energy, the clinician deploys the plug within the region of the lesion by activating the plug ejection mechanism.
Abstract:
A contraceptive device for placement in a fallopian tube includes expanding distal and proximal anchor members and an expandable elongate member connecting the distal anchor member to the proximal anchor member. An expandable material is disposed on at least a portion of the contraceptive device, whereupon delivery of the contraceptive device, the expandable material expands to completely occlude the fallopian tube. The expandable material may contain a drug, therapeutic agent, or hormone which is released over time to occlude or otherwise prevent the passage of spermazoa through the fallopian tube, or prevent ovulation. The contraceptive device may be delivered non-operatively and provide complete sterilization within a period of days. The device and delivery method obviates the need for follow-up visits to confirm closure of the fallopian tubes.
Abstract:
Blocking device (1) for a Fallopian tube and introduction device (20) thereof. The blocking device (1) consists of a central section (2) with adjoining elongated retaining means (3) on both sides thereof which are displaceable between an introduction position and a retaining position. In the introduction position, the retaining means (3) are in line with the central section (2). The introduction device (20) consists of a construction comprising a handle (21), central bush (22) and sliding bush (25), as a result of which it is possible, on the one hand, to displace the blocking device (1) over a defined distance accommodated inside an introduction sleeve when it comes into contact with the constriction of the Fallopian tube, and, on the other hand, to allow the blocking device (1) to unfold without further displacement after it has been fitted in the correct position.
Abstract:
A vessel seal (1) for reversibly sealing a body lumen comprises a support structure (10) moveable between an insertion configuration and a deployed configuration, wherein a diameter of the support structure is greater in the deployed configuration than in the insertion configuration, a diameter of the support structure in the deployed configuration substantially corresponding to an inner diameter of a target portion of the body lumen at which the support structure is to be deployed and a compressible vessel seal (20) coupled to the support structure so that, when the support structure is in the deployed configuration, the vessel seal expands within a central lumen of the support structure to occlude the body lumen. A method of controlling flow through a body lumen, comprises the steps of inserting into a target portion of a body lumen a vessel seal assembly in an insertion configuration, moving the support structure to a deployed configuration.
