Abstract:
In a method of toilet training a wearer of a disposable absorbent article, an active graphic visually perceptible from within the interior of the article is activated in response to liquid insult of the article and at least one other signal perceptible from at least one of the interior and the exterior of the article is provided in response to liquid insult of the article. An absorbent article of the present invention generally has a first insult indicator with an active graphic visually perceptible from the inner surface of the article that is responsive to a liquid insult of the absorbent article to provide a signal perceptible from the inner surface of the article. A second insult indicator is responsive to the liquid insult of the absorbent article to provide a signal perceptible from at least one of the inner surface of the article and exterior of the article.
Abstract:
An absorbent article has an outer cover at least in part defining the outer surface of the article and a liner in opposed relationship with the outer cover and at least in part defining the inner surface of the article. An absorbent structure is disposed between the liner and the outer cover. At least one graphic is visible from the inner surface of the article. The at least one graphic disposed intermediate the inner surface and the outer surface of the article and being free from direct contact with the liner. The article being configured such that the graphic is visible from the inner surface of the article. A process for manufacturing an absorbent article having a graphic visible from the inner surface of the article is provided.
Abstract:
An absorbent article includes a fluid permeable topsheet, a fluid impermeable backsheet, and a hygroscopic treatment. The hygroscopic treatment is protected from liquid contact under conditions of use and acts to reduce the water vapor present in the absorbent article environment, thereby reducing the relative humidity in the article. As a result, the article exhibits substantially reduced levels of hydration of the wearer's skin when in use which renders the skin less susceptible to the viability of microorganisms. The absorbent article may also include a ventilation layer between the absorbent body and the backsheet and/or a surge management layer between the absorbent body and the topsheet.
Abstract:
Products comprise a plurality tampons of varied absorbent capacity, tailored to meet the needs of different segments of women based on their menstrual flow. Consumer product lines comprise different types of multi-packs tailored to meet the menstrual flow needs of different segments of women based on their menstrual flow. Modularized multi-packs are presented as a way to efficiently produce different multi-packs.
Abstract:
A tampon comprising a tampon body having a head end and a tail end, and a sheath attached to said tail end, said sheath being of a sufficient length to reach back over said head to cover and hygienically close said tampon body. The act of reaching back over inverts the sheath, thereby presenting a clean outer covering.
Abstract:
An absorbent article, such as a diaper, containing cuffs with a skin care composition disposed thereon. The skin care composition disposed on the cuffs is transferable to the wearer's skin by normal contact and/or wearer motion and/or body heat. The cuffs are at least partially assembled using an oil resistant adhesive that is both material friendly and process friendly.
Abstract:
Patterned fibrous substrates having a plurality of individual fibers, a first region, and a second region are provided. The plurality of individual fibers comprise a functional surface additive. A plurality of individual fibers of the first region have a first diameter, and a plurality of individual fibers of the second region have a second diameter. The first diameter is less than the second diameter. The first region has a first C.I.E. L* score, and the second region has a second C.I.E. L* score. The first C.I.E. L* score is different than the second C.I.E. L* score.

Abstract:
Abstract:
Collection devices, systems, and methods include those for collecting volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and/or other chemical substances from a target area of a subject's anatomy (e.g., a subject's skin, a wound on a subject, etc.). In some cases, the collector may have a collection component including an adsorbent material. The collector may be used with a pump. The pump may be configured to draw a fluid flow containing one or more chemical substances from a target area on a subject's anatomy through the collection component. The collection component may be configured to collect at least some of the chemical substances from the fluid flow as the flow passes through the collection component.
