A liquid drain device (100), intended for connection to a liquid drain network such as a sewer, comprises a catch tray (41), a closed stench lock space (101) with an inlet opening communicating to the catch tray (41) and an outlet opening (52) located at a higher level than the inlet opening, and an outlet (51) connected to the outlet opening (52) of the stench lock space (101). According to the invention, the drain device further has a buffer chamber communicating with the catch tray (41) via a communication opening (111). The communication opening (111) has a relatively large flow resistance. Thus, even in the case of a small construction height of the drain device, it is prevented that the stench lock space (101) is drawn empty too far because then the liquid level in the stench lock space (101) is slowly filled from the buffer chamber (110).

A bicycle apparatus with controllable load comprises: - rotatebly mounted pedals (2); - a controllable brake member (5); - an actuator (11) for actuating the brake member (5). - An actuator control member (120) provides a control signal (S C ) for the actuator on the basis of a brake target value signal (S BT ). - A processor (240) receives a torque target value signal (S T ) representing a target value for the operational torque (T) to be delivered by a user. - A memory (243) associated with the processor contains information reflecting the characteristic between brake target value signal and the braking torque caused thereby. - The processor generates, on the basis of said information in the memory (243), an output signal (S U ; S BT ) for obtaining the actuator action required for the desired braking torque. - A sensor (14) provides a measuring signal (S M ) representing the effort delivered by a user. - A memory adaptor (340) receives the measuring signal generated by the sensor, and is designed to adapt the information in the memory on the basis of its input signals.

The invention provides a coated particle, as well as a method for the preparation thereof and a material or object in which such a particle is applied. The particle consists of a core material and a coating layer. The core material is a homogeneous composition of a salt hydrate and an additive chemical. The salt hydrate provides to the particle its specific technical properties and the additive chemical is chemically bound to the coating layer. The composition of the coating layer is, dependent on the application, mainly determined by the applications and the raw chemicals used.

The invention provides a polymer composition which contains a bound heat accumulating phase change material which is in the form of a solid or a paste. This composition is so stable and has such a solid form that it may be easily heated up to 180 (200) ºC and mechanically treated without changing the structure and the composition thereof and without losing its phase change materials . After being heated up the heat emission of this composition is steady and consequently the composition has a long radiation time. Furthermore the polymer composition is easy to produce and has due to its special properties a lot of applications.

A device (100) is described for generating a measuring signal (M) being indicative for surface properties of an object (3) which is substantially manufactured of a ferromagnetic material (1). The device comprises: at least one magnet (20) with a magnet axis (21); two magnetic field sensors (30; 40) arranged at mutually different axial positions with respect to the said magnet axis (21); a control member (10) provided with inputs (12; 14) coupled with the magnetic field sensors (30; 40) for receiving the sensor signals (S1; S2) generated by these magnetic field sensors (30; 40), and provided with an output (19) for issuing the measuring signal (M). The control member (10) is adapted for generating the measuring signal (M) based on the sensor signals (Sl; S2) received from both magnetic field sensors (30; 40), according to the formula M = αSl - αβS2, wherein α and β are multiplication factors.

The lining (4) has a lining part (41) which is fixed to the hood (3), and at least one edge part (42) which is loose from the hood (3). The loose lining edge part (42) is provided with a flexible reinforcement member (50), for example a whalebone.

The invention relates to a hanging display device (1), comprising a rollable carrier (10) and at least one rollable object holder (50) for receiving and holding at least one object such as a photograph or a postcard. The object holder (50) is arranged on the surface of the carrier (10). The hanging display device (1) further comprises an upper scroll bar (20) and lower scroll bar (30). A piece of string (40) is attached to the upper scroll bar (20) in order to facilitate hanging of the hanging display device (1) onto a wall. Furthermore, a ribbon (70) is attached to the upper scroll bar (20), wherein said ribbon (70) can be tied around the hanging display device (1) in a rolled condition of the device (1).
