Abstract:
Systems, methods and computer program products for monitoring performance of groupings of network infrastructure and applications using statistical analysis.
Abstract:
A packet inspection apparatus (fig.2) is described. In one embodiment, the packet inspection apparatus comprises a packet inspection module (201) to compare data from one or more packets of multiple packets with one or more signatures to identify a match, and at least one network interface modules (205) coupled to the packet inspection module. The network interface module has two ports for forwarding full-duplex traffic therebetween, where the traffic includes packets. The one or more network interface modules forward the packets to the packet inspection module and blocks one or more packets in response to an indication from the packet inspection module.

Abstract:
The invention relates to the field of communication networks. More particularly, this invention is a method and system form selective packet mirroring. With reference to fig. 4, a packet is retrieved (401). If the packet is to be mirrored, it is duplicated (403). If the original packed satisfies mirroring criteria, the duplicate packet is forwarded (409,413). Otherwise, the duplicate packet is deleted (415).
Abstract:
A method for network analysis by presenting a layered network diagram is disclosed. The method includes the steps of receiving input associated with a level of abstraction and extracting information relating to such level of abstraction based on the input. The method also includes the step of filtering network links for display based on the level of abstraction. The filtered network links are displaced to present the layered network diagram. An apparatus for implementing the method is also disclosed.
Abstract:
Abstract:
One aspect of the invention relates to a messaging communication scheme for controlling, configuring, monitoring and communicating with a signal processor within a Voice Over Packet (VoP) subsystem without knowledge of the specific architecture of the signal processor. The messaging communication scheme may feature the transmission of control messages between a signal processor and a host processor. Each control message comprises a message header portion and a control header portion. The control header portion includes at least a catalog parameter that indicates a selected grouping of control messages and a code parameter that indicates a selected operation of the selected grouping.
Abstract:
Method and system to collect measurements (160-162) from multiple metering devices (10-17). The collector devices (20-22) store and forward measurement information through a network connection (50) to a remote processing center (60) to generate an output based on the measurement information.

Abstract:
A method and system for analyzing a public switched communications network from a remote place via the public Internet. The system comprises an access device which collects data from one or more links in a public switched communications network. The system further includes a server computer which receives the collected data from the access device via a dedicated network or the Internet. The server computer executes one or more applications to perform protocol analysis based on the received data. A client computer executing a Web browser may be used to communicate with the server computer via the Internet and access the outcome of the protocol analysis.
