Abstract:
A scaffold guard rail support for a scaffolding structure to locate an elongate guard rail therewith. The guard rail support comprises a bracket to receive and locate an elongate guard rail. Also included is a clamping member that includes a crankshaft and a crank. The crankshaft is carried by the bracket for rotation about its crankshaft axis. The crankshaft is carried by said bracket so that between a first and second condition of the crankshaft relative to said bracket, the crank becomes engaged with the elongate guard rail and presses the elongate guard rail against the bracket.

Abstract:
A support post (22) and safety fence assembly (24) in which the post (22) has a telescoping inner and outer tube (34, 36) and is supported on a threaded internal shaft (42) coupled to a floor engaging end (30) and ceiling engaging end (32) preferably formed with claws that have a number of sharp penetrating points for firm engagement with a support surface. An over-centre locking lever assembly (60) is provided for fixing the relative position of the inner tube and outer telescoping tubes (34, 36).
Abstract:
Anchorage for a roof such as a flat or preferably sloping roof. The anchorage consists of an anchoring point such as an eye. According to the invention, said anchoring point can be moved back and forth in a direction essentially perpendicular to the roof from a position in which it is fitted essentially flush with the roof to a position in which it is projecting from the roof. For this purpose, there is a roof passage for the anchoring point, which roof passage part can be closed off with a cap that is preferably provided on the anchoring point. The anchoring point is accommodated so that it can be moved axially in a bush mat is fixed by means of a plate construction on the outside of the roof. A corresponding plate construction is fixed on the inside of the roof, so that the roof becomes clamped between two plates. The axial movement is preferably achieved by screwing, so that it is possible to move the anchoring point outside by operation from the inside.
Abstract:
Safety coupling consisting of a base part and a coupling part. The base part is designed to be fitted on a building construction, such as a roof, window frame and the like. Furthermore, the safety coupling comprises a coupling part that can be connected to a facility. A facility is understood to be a ladder, scaffolding, but also a person's harness. The coupling part consists of a protruding part designed to be accommodated with a tight fit in a seat in the base part. To prevent the protruding part releasing from the seat, there is also a locking part that can be made active and inactive with a button. Preferably the construction is designed such that in the unlocked position the coupling part is completely free of the base part and also drops out of the latter. The intention is to fit a large number of base parts on buildings and other building constructions, whilst coupling to a facility by means of the coupling part is always easily possible.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for fitting fixtures to the filigree (2) and to cantilevers (4), which are concreted to the filigree once the filigree has been lifted into place in the shell structure. A fixing element (34) is set into the edge section of the filigree (2) when manufacturing the latter, said fixing element (34) having anchoring members (8, 27). The fixing element (34) is provided with first and second bracket fixing points (12, 28) for the fitting of a fixing bracket (16) for the fixture towards the edge (7) of the filigree. By means of the first anchoring member (8) the interface (14) between the fixing element (34) and the fixing bracket (16) is arranged flush with the edge (7) of the filigree. The fixing bracket has first and second suspension parts (18, 20) for fitting the fixing bracket (16) to the fixing element (34) at the first and second bracket fixing points (12, 28). A further anchoring member (22) at the distance (A) from the interface (14) is connected by way of a stay (24) to the second suspension point (28).
Abstract:
An intermediate bracket (1) has a base member (2) comprised of stainless steel rod bent to U-shape. A sleeve member (6) is secured by screws (7) through a lug (8) into the ends of the U. The member has a tongue (9) integral with the lug and a sleeve (10) as such. The sleeve is cut open by a transverse cut (11) and longitudinal cuts (12, 14) on opposite sides from the transverse cut to respective ends of the sleeve to allows the cable to be introduced into the sleeve. The cable is centred in the sleeve by moulded polyamide inserts (21), with a longitudinal slot (22) sized to receive the cable and yet be closed with edges abutting when introduced into the sleeve. The inserts also have rims (23), protecting the cable (C) from touching the ends of the sleeve, anti-rotation swellings (24) which occupy the cuts (12, 14), detents (25) on the inside of the swellings and opposite, complementary openings (26). These engage with each other when the inserts are pushed into the sleeve from opposite ends and abut in the middle.
Abstract:
Abstract:
A unit (10) for absorbing impacts which resists excessive compression whilst dissipating the force of an impact is provided. An outer casing (15) houses material (20) for absorbing impact force and an impact member (25) is provided to reinforce the unit. The impact member (25) receives the impact force and in addition to absorbing part of the force it distributes the reduced force to the material (20) so as to spread the region of compression over a greater area of the unit (10).
Abstract:
A safety device for a fall restraint comprises an anchoring member (1) to which the fall restraint can be coupled directly or indirectly, and fastening means for a firm and durable connection to an object (10). The fastening means are formed by a flexible fastening flap (11) which extends laterally from the device and which is intended and adapted to bring about said firm and durable connection to the object.
