The present invention concerns apparatuses and methods for the reprocessing of devices such as medical equipment, in particular endoscopes. In one aspect, the invention is an endoscope reprocessing apparatus comprising a reprocessing chamber, a mounting in the reprocessing chamber to which an endoscope carrier is attached or removably attachable, a first reprocessing means arranged on or in an internal surface of the reprocessing chamber, and a reprocessing fluid source in fluid communication with the first reprocessing means. The reprocessor comprises further a rotating endoscope support/carrier, whereby the endoscope might be in a cartridge/cassette. The device has spray nozzles for external cleaning, a connector for internal cleaning, a rotary shaft for driving the carrier/cartridge, doors and receptacles for processing and drained fluids, multi-way valves.

Systems and methods for decontaminating a facility, for example, in response to a biological attack. An exclusion zone, a support zone, and a contamination reduction zone may be established. The exclusion zone may have a suspected contaminant in one or more of its areas. The contamination reduction zone may be between the exclusion zone and the support zone. The exclusion zone may have an agent introduced into a pressurized environment within the exclusion zone to substantially eliminate the contaminant. A sample may be taken to determine the presence of the contaminant.

Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf die Sterilisation von Packstof fmaterial und betrifft spezieller ein Verfahren und eine Einrichtung zum Sterilisieren einer unverformten, im Takt geförderten Packstoffbahn, die mit einem Sterilisationsmittel mindestens auf der Füllgutseite mittels eines Aufbringelementes beaufschlagt und anschließend einer keimtötenden Bestrahlung ausgesetzt und unter Sterilbedingungen der Weiterverarbeitung in an die Einrichtung angeschlossene Verpackungsmaschinen zugeführt wird. Verwendet wird dabei eine schwache, wässrige Lösung von Wasserstoff-Peroxyd, die mengenregelt und vernebelt auf die Packstoffbahn in sehr dünner Schicht aufgebracht wird.

The invention relates to a device for cleaning and/or disinfecting, in particular, hands. The device consists of a housing with a channel, and a sensor and spray nozzle for dispensing liquids are situated on the wall of said channel. The sensor activates a pump, which is connected to the nozzle and to a reservoir. The channel has a bottom that slopes toward the rear wall. A collecting element is situated underneath the bottom of the channel and is provided for collecting liquid flowing off the channel wall. An absorbing means is placed inside this collecting element.

Die Vorrichtung zur Erzeugung eines Schaumteppichs auf dem Boden umfasst einen Bodenbelag (1) mit einem Leitungssystem (4), welches mindestens einen Auslass, insbesondere mit einer oder mehreren Schaumdüsen (13), aufweist und zur Bildung eines Schaumes auf diesem Bodenbelag (1) befähigt ist. Die Desinfektion von Fahrzeugreifen und von Schuhwerk kann ohne grösseren Zeitaufwand durchgeführt werden. Die Vorrichtung kann einfach und schnell installiert werden, erfordert einen nur geringen Wartungsaufwand, ermöglicht eine einfache und problemlose Benutzung, verbraucht nur geringe Mengen an Chemikalien und Wasser, ist auch für sich schnell zersetzende Chemikalien wie Peressigsäure, Jodverbindungen, Chlorbleichlauge, usw. geeignet und kann sowohl zum Desinfizieren von Schuhwerk als auch von Reifen von schweren Fahrzeugen eingesetzt werden.
