본 발명은 보행 훈련자가 탑승하기 위한 본체, 상기 본체에 회전 가능하게 결합되고 보행 훈련자의 발을 지지하기 위한 발판부, 및 상기 발판부와 이격된 위치에 위치하도록 상기 본체에 결합되고 상기 발판부가 지지하는 하중이 분산되도록 보행 훈련자의 상반신을 지지하기 위한 상체지지부를 포함하고, 상기 상체지지부는 보행훈련자의 겨드랑이와 팔뚝을 지지하는 것을 특징으로 하는 보행 훈련 장치에 관한 것이다.

A stationary exercise equipment has a supporting structure, a movable user interface (42) connected to the supporting structure,and a force-resisting device (1). The force-resisting device (1) with a hub mounted continuously variable transmission (2) configured therein provides a variable resistance force that varies an amount of force with a movement of the movable user interface (42). The hub mounted variable transmission (2) is operably to vary the resistance force of the movable user interface (42) in a manner of varying a rotational rate of the user interface (42) to increase or decrease as required.

A vertical stepping machine includes a frame, a crank wheel connected to the frame, a crank wheel connected to the frame, a pedal beam having a first end and a second end, wherein the first end is in mechanical communication with the crank wheel, a pedal connected to the second end of the pedal beam, a linkage assembly connected to the frame and to the pedal beam, an arm support rotatably connected to the frame, an arm linkage connecting the arm support to the linkage assembly, and a rotary resistance mechanism positioned above the crank wheel when the vertical stepping machine is in an upright orientation. The pedal beam moves in an elliptical path when the crank wheel rotates and the elliptical path has a vertical major axis and a horizontal minor axis when the vertical stepping machine is in an upright position.

A vertical stepping machine includes a frame, a crank wheel connected to the frame, a crank arm extending away from a rotational axis of the crank wheel, and a pedal beam connected to the crank arm. A linkage assembly is connected to the frame at a fixed frame location and to the pedal beam at a fixed pedal beam location. A first linkage member of the linkage assembly has a length that forces the pedal beam to travel along an elliptical path as the crank wheel rotates.

A multifunctional cardio and toning exercise machine is an exercise machine that combines the functionality of a stepper assembly and a stationary bicycle assembly. The stepper assembly is mounted on a frame member and is positioned opposite to the stationary bicycle assembly that is mounted to a stand member. The stepper assembly and the stationary bicycle assembly may pivot relative to each other about a primary pivot point. A stepper resetting mechanism is utilized to regulate the movement of a first step pedal and a second step pedal of the stepper assembly. The stepper resetting mechanism primarily utilizes a first hydraulic cylinder and a second hydraulic cylinder to regulate the movement of the stepper assembly. The user may sit on an adjustable seat and stabilize his or her body with a handlebar assembly during use of the machine.

An elliptical system is disclosed having a crank assembly configured to be adjusted in length to accommodate users having varying gaits. In some embodiments, the crank assembly includes a crank and an axle connection bracket that is slidably adjustable with respect to the crank. For example, the crank assembly can include a crank link having a longitudinal body, where the longitudinal body is connected to the crank at one end and includes a longitudinal slot slidably coupled with the axle connection bracket. The axle connection bracket is configured to slide through a plurality of positions along the longitudinal body. In some embodiments, the crank assembly further includes a screw for adjusting the axle connection bracket with respect to the crank, where the screw can cause the axle connection bracket to slide through one or more positions of the plurality of positions when the screw is turned.

An elliptical exercise machine includes a first foot pedal and a second foot pedal attached to a frame to travel along reciprocating paths. A resistance mechanism is also integrated into the elliptical exercise machine to resist movement of the first and second foot pedals along the reciprocating paths. A locking mechanism is arranged to secure the first and second foot pedals in place and prevent them from moving when the locking mechanism is in a secured mode. The locking mechanism is in communication with a locking input mechanism and is arranged to switch between the secured mode and an operational mode that allows the first and second foot pedals to travel in response to user input received through the locking input mechanism.
