Abstract: A system for the high-fidelity display of artwork images simulates lighting conditions (such as by, for example, varying the colour temperature, intensity, and/or lighting direction) and, for each lighting condition, compares an image of an artwork against an image of a digital display thereof. The system calculates an image adjustment (such as, for example, brightness/contrast, levels, tonal curves, exposure, vibrance, hue/saturation and/or colour balance) to minimise perceived visual differences between the original artwork and the image of a digital display thereof under the same environmental lighting conditions. As such, when displayed at a display location, the artwork image may be adjusted using the calculated image adjustment according to the actual lighting conditions at the display location.

Abstract: Here to segregate data and management traffic for cloud components we provide a separate Rack Specific Component Interface to discover various components of the rack and to segregate management type of data communication with various components of the rack or cloud. There will be a separate Network Interface Controller or Network Interface Card per rack for management traffic of its different cloud components held by the rack and known as Rack Specific Component Interface. Here Interface Manager Daemon process of the rack will parse the management traffic to verify the rack identifier and to get the component identifier and will forward the management packet to the corresponding component of the rack.

Abstract: A method and system to schedule computing tasks for execution by a computing system in a distributed computing environment are presented. The tasks are secheduled for execution by gathering system configuration data and system telemetry data of the computing system. A computing system profile of the computing system is generated based on the system configuration data and system telemetry data that were gathered to indicate a computational performance. Calculation of an applied monetary value of the computing system in association with at least one specified computing task is made based the computational performance and marketplace valuations associated with the at least one specified computational task. A specified computational task is selected from the at least one specified computational task for execution based on the applied monetary value of the computing system.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a method includes receiving a user input by the first nser from a client system associated with a first user, parsing the user input to identify one or more n-grams associated with the user input, accessing a user profile associated with the first user, wherein the user profile is stored in a first data store, accessing ontology data based on the one or more identified n-grams from one or more information graphs, wherein the one or more information graphs are stored in one or more second data stores, respectively, determining contextual information associated with the user input, generating semantic information by aggregating the user profile, ontology data, and contextual information, generating a feature representation for the identified one or more n~grams based on the semantic information, and resolving one or more entities associated with the one or more n-grams based on the feature representation.

Abstract: Here we have an Events Manager module running on a remote virtual machine which gathers events from different applications getting events in different intervals of time running on a single virtual machine. Events Manager module gathers such group of events and uses a B+ tree data structure to maintain such group of events with the key as timestamp to direct search in the tree and leaf nodes as events linked to each other in sorted order occurring within a range of timestamp. Arrangement of such events by the Events Manager occurring at different intervals of time for different applications running on a single virtual machine helps to run timestamp based range queries to fetch events occurring at that virtual machine.

Abstract: Here we have application which receives similar objects where each object is characterised by N number of its features. For ranking such objects we would use machine learning which would require a training set of important and unimportant example objects. Now we have reduced our problem to a simple linear classification problem for which we can use several available machine learning algorithms like Support Vector Machine etc to classify any new incoming object received by the application as important or unimportant. Now using Support Vector Machine we will know which feature of the object has more weight compared to other features and give us better insight into which feature carries the highest significance and we can rank all the important objects according to the value held by the feature carrying the highest weight.

Abstract: A system includes an event-source device; a state database holding first state data; a controllable computing device; and a monitoring device. The monitoring device receives an event record from the event-source device; determines, based at least in part on the first state data and the event record, a command; and transmits the command to the controllable computing device or otherwise causes the controllable computing device to carry out (e.g., perform an action associated with) the command. Some examples include determining a computational model based at least in part on first state data associated with a first data source. The computational model is operated based at least in part on an event record associated with a second data source to provide a command. A representation of the command is presented, via a user interface. A computing device can be caused to carry out the command.
