Abstract:
A metal detection device, system and method are provided. The device includes a receiver that receives a signal pattern representing electromagnetic field disturbances over time caused by movement of metal doors in a detection region. The device further includes a memory in communication with the receiver. The memory stores a recorded signal pattern of a previously received signal pattern and at least one quality criterion. The device further includes a processor in communication with the memory. The processor determines pattern vitals indicating a quality of the received signal pattern. The processor further determines whether the at least one quality criterion is met based at least in part on the pattern vitals. The processor further updates the recorded signal pattern based at least in part on determining whether the at least one quality criterion is met.
Abstract:
Abstract:
A robust tag. The robust tag may include a body section, at least one movable latching member disposed within the body section, at least one attachment structure receivable within the body and selectively engageable to the at least one latching member; and at least one responsive member disposed within the body and in cooperative arrangement with the at least one latching member. Upon the application of a signal to at least one drive position on the body section, the responsive member generates a flexural wave that induces a movement of the at least one latching member, so as to disengage the at least one latching member from the at least one attachment structure.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a system with article surveillance device and method for displaying configuration information. The system comprises: at least one article surveillance device; a server which is connected via a communication connection to the at least one article surveillance device and which is adapted to store information concerning the configuration of the article surveillance device; and a display component for displaying the configuration information stored on the server.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to an antitheft protection system for a self-service area. Said system includes at least one transmitting apparatus, set up at the boundary of the self-service area, and at least one protective housing that is capable of being connected in a locked manner with the item to be protected. Said housing comprises a means for interacting with the transmitting apparatus and an alarm means triggered by penetrating the housing within the transmission space of said apparatus. Said system is characterized in that the interaction means operates within the frequency band of less than 30 KHz in an encoded mode.
Abstract:

Abstract:
The invention relates to a chipless RFID tag (51) comprising a plurality of disjoint parallel conducting bands (55) formed on a dielectric support (53), in which conducting bridges (58) interlink neighbouring conducting bands, the conducting bridges delimiting, between the conducting bands, portions of dielectric bands (59) of distinct lengths, each portion of dielectric band determining a resonant frequency of the tag, the set of resonant frequencies of the tag defining an identification code.
Abstract:
A control system for a security system having a plurality of sensors includes a sensor communication device configured to communicatively couple to the plurality of sensors and to receive a plurality of sensor notifications from the plurality of sensors. Each sensor notification of the plurality of sensor notifications includes at least one of a detection type, a detection location, and a detection duration. The control system also includes a processor configured to receive the plurality of sensor notifications from the sensor communication device, associate a plurality of detection states with the plurality of sensor notifications such that at least one detection state of the plurality of detection states is entered upon receiving at least one combination of sensor notifications of the plurality of sensor notifications, and associate at least one detection response with each detection state of the plurality of detection states.
Abstract:
A system and method for monitoring the status of wireless-node devices in a network. A network controller polls one or more sensor devices for status information. The sensor devices are in communication with at least one wireless node device. More than one sensor device may be associated with a single wireless node device. The wireless node device appends its own status information to the transmission frame of the sensor device's response message, and the transmission frame, containing the address and status information for both the sensor device and the wireless node device, is transmitted to the network controller. The inclusion of the wireless node device address and status information is done without the knowledge of the sensor device.
