Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for preparing a binder composition for a formulation based on precious metals for decals; the method provides for making a polyamine and at least one dicarboxylic acid react to obtain a polyaminoamide; the polyamine has the formula H2NCH2RCH2NH2, wherein R is selected in the group consisting of: - Ph-, ~CH2CH2NHCH2CH2-; the molar ratio between the carboxylic acid and the polyamine is from 1.1:1 to 1:2.
Abstract:
A safe, integrated dye sublimation transfer printer apparatus (100, 300) is disclosed, The apparatus is configured to print one or more images onto transfer media, then align the transfer media onto a substrate (10, 36). A selected product to receive the sublimated image is positioned on top of the transfer media, and one or more heating platens (14, 42) then engage the transfer media to sublimate the image. The heating platen is configured to sublimate one or more opposing sides of a product substantially simultaneously in a single thermal cycle. In some embodiments, the apparatus may be incorporated into a fully-enclosed vending machine (800) to provide on-demand personalized sublimated products and accessories for a consumer.
Abstract:
The present invention concerns the field of graphic apparatuses and in particular its object is an apparatus and a relative method for the so-called "weeding" of plastic or paper films having or more self- adhesive, double sided adhesive or electrostatic layers coupled with a support liner treated with a non-stick agent. The apparatus comprises a seizing head (21) with an air blower (28).

The present invention concerns the field of graphic apparatuses and in particular its object is an apparatus and a relative method for the so-called "weeding" of plastic or paper films having or more self- adhesive, double sided adhesive or electrostatic layers coupled with a support liner treated with a non-stick agent. The apparatus comprises analysis and cutting means adapted to map and execute weeding assisting cuts.
Abstract:
Polymeric articles, such as condoms or gloves, including a decoration, are disclosed. The polymeric article comprises at least two polymeric layers, and a decoration comprising at least one of a polymeric film, a decal or a temporary tattoo is disposed between the at least two polymeric layers. Methods for manufacturing polymeric articles including a decoration are also disclosed.
Abstract:
A composite sheet material and method for forming the same is provided that includes a substrate, a matrix, and a cover sheet. The substrate has a first face surface, a second face surface, and a plurality of edges, and includes a thermoplastic material. The matrix is attached to the substrate. The matrix includes a support component having a first melting point, and a thermoplastic component having a second melting point. The second melting point is less than the first melting point. The cover sheet imparts one or more surface characteristics to the composite sheet material during thermo-pressure formation of the composite sheet material.
Abstract:
An appliqué is provided that is attached to the outer surface of a product. The appliqué comprises a decorative piece including an upper surface with a design element digitally printed thereon and an opposite lower surface attached to the product.
Abstract:
Decorated three-dimensional articles (64, 78, 82, 86) may be produced having wall structure (66-72) with distortion-free images (40a, 40b) appearing through the inner and outer surfaces of the wall structure (66-72). Preferably, a sheet of paper stock (38) is imprinted on both faces with mirror images (40a, 40b), and the stock (38) is applied to a light-transmitting substrate (44) so that the image (40b) appears through the substrate (44), thereby yielding a blank (50). A plurality of lines of weakness (54) are formed in the blank (50) by laser ablation extending through the image (40a) and stock (38), but not through the image (40b), in order to define spaced apart bend areas (56). The substrate (44) is then heated along the bend areas (56), and the blank (50) is formed about a mandrel (62). If desired, the formed blank (50) may be completed by addition of a base (74). The invention can be used for the economical production of a virtually limitless number of three-dimensional articles, even with one-off unique articles or short runs of articles.
Abstract:
Customizable articles and a method of customization are disclosed. The method produces customizable articles having a graphic or pigment arrangement sandwiched between a film transfer layer and an exterior surface of the customizable articles. The process involves aligning a customizable article and a graphical transfer assembly on a press assembly, heating the press assembly, and applying pressure to the customizable article using the press. After removing the customizable article from the press assembly, the process comprises removal of the carrier layer and inspection of the resulting customizable article.
