Abstract:
Plumbing outlet boxes, such as for connecting washing machines, ice makers, and other plumbed appliances to plumbing systems, are designed to be mounted within a cutout (8) in a drywall panel (10) such that, when a faceplate (60) is engaged with the housing (15), the seal (45) creates a sealing effect between the plumbing outlet box (5) and the wall.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a connection box. The connection box (1) is intended to be arranged in a structure, and it may be connected with a protective pipe (8), in which a water pipe (9) may be arranged. The water pipe (9) is intended to be connected to a water fitting (10). The connection box (1) comprises a detachable cover (12), through which the water pipe (9) is connected to the water fitting (10). The cover (12) comprises an openable part (12a), the surface area of which is smaller than the total surface area of the cover (12).
Abstract:
A method of providing an automatically refreshed water supply for pets is provided by diverting the water from water supply of a toilet to a water dispenser accessible to the pet and returning excess water to the toilet. The water may be diverted from the flush cycle of a toilet to an exterior dish which fills to a predetermined level and then overflows into the toilet. The invention provides an adapter for a toilet system to create an automatically refreshed water supply for pets which comprises means to divert water from each flush cycle of a toilet to an exterior dish which fills to a predetermined level and then overflows into the toilet, and alternatively a mechanism for triggering the replacement water flow by sensing of the motion or weight of the pet. Thus the system can be pet-triggered for the toilet flush and/or flow of replacement water to the pet dish, or continuous water flow as long as the pet is detected.
Abstract:
A water supply system that supplies water to a plumbing system from either a mains supply, or an auxiliary supply. In a default state, a shuttle valve is pressure balanced and couples water from the mains supply to the plumbing system via mains inlet port and outlet port, and in another state the shuttle valve is pressure unbalanced and moved so that auxiliary water is coupled to the plumbing system via an auxiliary inlet port and the outlet port of the shuttle valve. Water is drawn from an auxiliary tank and coupled to the plumbing system when two conditions exist, namely when water is demanded, as sensed by flow sensor, and when water is available from the auxiliary supply, as sensed by float system. Water pressure at the auxiliary inlet port causes the shuttle to move from the default state and couple water from the auxiliary inlet port to the outlet port and thus to the plumbing system. When either of the two conditions are not met, the shuttle valve remains in the default state and couples mains water from the mains inlet port to the outlet port and thus to the plumbing system.
Abstract:
Abstract:
A device facilitates the mounting of a plumbing fixture such as a faucet through a hole in a counter or the like and connection of the fixture to a supply line. A collar member of the device is slidingly retained on an inlet tube of the fixture by a connecting nut of the supply line. A rod, guided in its axial movement by a guide member that is connected to the collar member, has a flag member that is rotatable between a stowed position and a deployed position. In the stowed position, the device may be passed through the hole when connected to the plumbing fixture and the supply line. In the deployed position, the flag member increases the axial profile of the device and co-acts with the body of the plumbing fixture in retaining the plumbing fixture in the hole.
Abstract:
A water interface unit for interfacing a supplementary water supply and a mains water supply with a point of consumer demand. The interface unit including a mains water inlet (20) for receiving water from a mains supply; a supplementary water inlet (30) for receiving water from a supplementary water supply; and an outlet (40) for supplying water to the point of consumer demands. A first conduit (140) communicates the mains water inlet and the outlet. A second conduit (130) communicates the supplementary water inlet and the outlet. The interface unit further includes control means (120) for controlling a pump, which when activated drives water from the supplementary water supply to the supplementary water inlet. A flow sensor (60) provides a signal indicative of a rate of water flow through the outlet. The control means is configured to vary, in response the signal indicative of the rate of water flow through the outlet, a speed of the pump when the pump is so activated.
