    Abstract: An optical system and a lens for railway signals are provided. The optical system comprises a frontal (1b) and a rear (1a) body section, wherein the rear body section (1a) comprises a light source (2) comprising one or more light-emitting diodes, a rear lens (4), and a light-absorbing structure (8) surrounding the rear lens (4). The frontal body section (lb) comprises a converging frontal lens arrangement (11), and a casing connecting the frontal lens arrangement (11) to the rear body section (la). The rear lens (4) is configured to pass light collected from the light source (2) towards the frontal lens arrangement (11). The rear lens (4) comprises a cut-out (15) under a substantially horizontal line below its center, and the light-absorbing structure (8) surrounding the rear lens (4) covers the cut-out of the rear lens (4), and is configured to absorb light coming from the direction of the frontal lens arrangement (11).

    Abstract: An arrangement (100) of a railway signal, comprising a LED light source (2), a back part (4) comprising said LED light source (2),anda front part (5). The back part (4) is attached demountably to said front part (5) by an interface (7). The interface (7) comprises a back part contact surface (8) and a front part contact surface (9). The interface (7) comprises an indexing system (11), including a back part indexing member (12) and a front part indexing member (13) arranged in the front part contact surface (9). The indexing members (12, 13) are shaped to prevent an attachment of the back part (4) to the front part (5) in case of mismatch of said indexing members (12, 3).In an embodiment, at least part of the interface (7) is arranged in the releasable electrical connector (15).
