    Abstract: In a vat polymerization printer (100), a beam scanner (26) scans a light beam (28) across a mask (30) and into a tank (10) containing a photo-curable resin (18). The mask has pixels configurable to be individually transparent or opaque to portions of the light beam, which has a diameter greater than a cross-sectional dimension of the pixels of the mask. During an exposure time duration, a first subset of the pixels are controlled to be transparent at locations corresponding to the cross section of a three-dimensional object to be printed, while a second subset of the pixels are controlled to be opaque at locations not corresponding to the cross section of the three-dimensional object. The beam scanner (26) is controlled to scan the light beam across the mask (30) such that the light beam (28) is always incident on at least one of the pixels of the mask that are controlled to be transparent.

    Abstract: Systems and methods for operating a controlled device via an activation accessory of a wearable device that includes a moveable actuator, a sensor, and a communication element. The sensor is coupled to a controller, which has an output coupled to a control signal interface. The controller is programmed to receive and evaluate input signals from the sensor that are responsive to movements of the moveable actuator to determine whether or not they represent a command for the controlled device by assessing the input signals for a signal pattern indicative of a plurality of volitional actions of a wearer of the activation accessory. If/when the processor determines that the input signals represent the command, then it decodes the command and transmits an associated control signal to the controlled device via the control signal interface.

    Abstract: An automated service agent may be used to service issues discussed by users of a group communication channel. In the process of servicing the issue, the automated service agent may differentiate the roles of the users and identify a requester of the issue. In one scenario, the automated service agent may contact the requester in a private communication channel to collect more detailed or private information from the requester. The issue may be resolved in the private communication channel with the requester. Information may be posted back to the group communication channel to inform the other users as to the successful resolution of the issue and how the issue was resolved. While communicating with the requester in the private communication channel, messages may be posted to the group communication channel to keep the other users up to date on the progress of resolving the issue in the private communication channel.

    Abstract: A table may include one or more tap gesture-activated light indicators that appear on a top surface of the table. The one or more light indicators may indicate a location of one or more wireless charging areas on the top surface of the table. The one or more light indicators may also indicate a location of one or more control elements (e.g., for controlling a height of the table). In a height-adjustable version of the table, each of the height-adjustable legs may include a linear actuator and a telescopic enclosure with a plurality of bulbous members. Additionally, a pressure sensitive surface of the table may measure a pressure pattern generated by a body part of the user resting on the pressure sensitive surface, and a machine learning algorithm infer a posture of the user based on the pressure pattern, and suggest a corrective measure in response to poor posture.
