    Abstract: The present invention relates to a bilayer pharmaceutical composition of ramipril and indapamide for oral administration, which can be used for treating hypertension. The pharmaceutical composition comprises: a) an immediate release layer, comprising ramipril, polyvinyl alcohol and one or more pharmaceutically acceptable excipients; and b) a sustained-release layer, comprising indapamide, a sustained-release agent being HPMC or HEC, and one or more pharmaceutically acceptable excipients.
