A stem for a gate valve, a gate valve, a method of assembling a stem in a gate valve, a method of fabricating the stem, and a method of assembling a gate valve are provided. The stem comprises a rotatable first stem section; and a rotatable second stem section separable from the first stem section and configured to engage with a gate of the gate valve for moving the gate between closed and open positions; wherein, in a disengaged state, the first stem section is rotatably free from the second stem section, and wherein, in an engaged state, the first stem section is rotatably coupled to the second stem section such that the second stem section is rotatable together with the first stem section for moving the gate between the closed and open positions.

The valve actuator (10) has a movable control element (12) which is typically connected to the valve to be opened/closed and a propulsion device (16) which may be a hydraulically operated piston (16) for moving the movable control element. A resilient element (22) which may be in the form of a spring arrangement has a stroke extending from a first relatively unloaded position to a second relatively loaded position and a transmission mechanism (18) is also provided, where the resilient element is loaded under the action of the propulsion device via the transmission mechanism and is configured to urge the moveable portion of the propulsion device towards the first position via the transmission mechanism when loaded. The transmission mechanism provides a gearing ratio reduction between the moveable portion of the propulsion device and the resilient element.

A high pressure seal adapter for a conductor housing of a wellhead, the high pressure seal adapter having a unitary body comprising: a first circular bore extending through said unitary body; and a second circular bore adjacent said first circular bore and extending through said unitary body; wherein said seal adapter is capable of being installed in said conductor housing. The high pressure seal adapter may further include at least one seal extending around a perimeter of said unitary body, said at least one seal contacting said conductor housing. The adapter may receive a high pressure riser in said first circular bore when said seal adapter is installed in said conductor housing, said high pressure riser having a lower surface that contacts said flange and at least one seal extending around an outside perimeter of said riser.

Embodiments of the present invention provide a dual tubing hanger mounted in a wellhead having a cylindrical bore with an inner diameter. The dual tubing hanger may include: a cylindrical hanger body having an outer diameter less than the inner diameter of the cylindrical bore; a first mandrel located within the hanger body, the first mandrel capable of transporting a first fluid and having a first outlet at a first elevation extending through the cylindrical hanger body; a second mandrel located within the hanger body, the second mandrel capable of transporting a second fluid and having a second outlet extending through the cylindrical hanger body at substantially the first elevation; and sealing means between the hanger body and the cylindrical bore; wherein the sealing means is capable of isolating the first fluid from the second fluid.

A valve seat (10) for use in a valve incorporating a valve gate is disclosed, the valve seat comprising a valve seat body (12) and a biasing device (14) such as a spring (14), the biasing device being integral with the valve seat body. The biasing device and valve seat body may be welded together or may be formed in a single metal workpiece by a machining, casting or forging process. The valve gate and valve seat cooperate to form a metal -to- metal seal within the valve. At least a portion (15) of the valve seat is typically welded to at least a portion of the valve. A pipeline including at least one valve is also disclosed, as is a method of fitting a valve seat to a valve.
