Abstract:
Disclosed herein is a method comprising disposing a first particle in a reactor; the first particle being a magnetic particle or a particle that can be influenced by a magnetic field, an electric field or a combination of an electrical field and a magnetic field; fluidizing the first particle in the reactor; applying a uniform magnetic field, a uniform electrical field or a combination of a uniform magnetic field and a uniform electrical field to the reactor; elevating the temperature of the reactor; and fusing the first particles to form a monolithic solid.
Abstract:
A web (232) has a series of cut outs (235) that define bridging portions (180) therebetween. A method for folding the web includes providing the web to a first conveyor (204), folding the web about a folding wheel (210) to define a folded edge (234) that extends through the series of cut outs, transferring the web to a second conveyor having an included angle of 15 to 40 degrees in relation to the first conveyor, folding the web about a folding bar (212) to maintain the folded edge, and spanning at least one cut out with the folding bar and contemporaneously contacting at least two bridge portions with the folding bar to maintain the folded edge of the web about the folding bar as the web passes the folding wheel edge (216).

Abstract:
The miniature ski tote of the disclosed invention is characterized by a carriage body, wheel and strap or other means to removably bind the carriage body to a pair of skis disposed in bottom-to-bottom relationship. The carriage has a bottom, sides and a rear together forming a channel open to the front and top of the carriage body. The channel is configured to receive the front or rear portion of side edges of the of a pair of skis which are disposed in bottom-to-bottom relationship to one another. A strap or other binding means is used to removably bind the carriage body to the skis. A wheel projects rearwardly and downwardly of the carriage body when the front of carriage body is angled upwardly, enabling a pair of skis engaged therewith to be transported by rolling the end to which the carriage is attached.

Abstract:
A process for making a garment that can include an absorbent assembly is disclosed. The process includes transporting a garment shell web in a machine direction. Portions of the web may be removed to provide an opening, and an absorbent assembly may be disposed on the garment shell web proximate the opening while the garment shell web is in an open configuration. A portion of the garment shell web may be directed in the cross machine direction to define a folded portion, and a portion of the absorbent assembly may be attached to the folded portion.
Abstract:
A distinctive process for making a garment including an absorbent assembly is disclosed. The process includes transporting a first web and a second web and joining the first web and the second web to provide a crotch seam. Portions of the webs may also be removed to provide an opening, and an absorbent assembly may be disposed on the first web proximate the opening. Portions of one or both of the webs may also be directed in the cross machine direction and the edges of the webs attached together to form a waist opening and a pair of leg openings.
