Abstract: Method of locating a vehicle (6), comprising the steps consisting in: a) determining a mask characterizing the environment of an antenna of a GPS system (2) with the aid of recording means (4) carried in said vehicle, b) determining, as a function of said mask, a set of visible satellites whose signals are able to be received directly by said antenna and c) determining a position of said vehicle (6) by using said visible satellites.
