Abstract:
A platform apparatus is provided which may be configured to support an electronic device. The platform apparatus may include a base, an extension, a support, and a lockable hinge. The extension may be adjustable and locked into a number of configurations. The platform apparatus may be configured for use by a standing, seated, or reclining user, or to support an electronic device in a free-standing configuration.
Abstract:
Abstract:
Methods for forming a nanoperforated graphene material are provided. The methods comprise forming an etch mask defining a periodic array of holes over a graphene material and patterning the periodic array of holes into the graphene material. The etch mask comprises a pattern-defining block copolymer layer, and can optionally also comprise a wetting layer and a neutral layer. The nanoperforated graphene material can consist of a single sheet of graphene or a plurality of graphene sheets.
Abstract:
A photovoltaic device includes a photoactive region disposed between and electrically connected to two electrodes where the photoactive region includes photoactive polymer- wrapped carbon nanotubes that create excitons upon absorption of light in the range of about 400 nm to 1400 nm.
Abstract:
A photoactive device includes a photoactive region disposed between and electrically connected to two electrodes where the photoactive region includes a first organic photoactive layer comprising a first donor material and a second organic photoactive layer comprising a first acceptor material. The first donor material contains photoactive polymer-wrapped carbon nanotubes and the photoactive region includes one or more additional organic photoactive material layers disposed between the first donor material layer and the acceptor material layer. The photoactive region creates excitons upon absorption of light in the range of about 400 nm to 1450 nm.

Abstract:
An epilation device (100) is proposed that has at least an epilation element (10, 10', 10") having a skin side (S) intended for contacting the skin in an operation state of the epilation device, the epilation element (10) having at least two adjoining clamping elements (11.1, 11.2) that are arranged on a base structure (15) and that each have a clamping surface (16.1; 16.2) so that the clamping surfaces (16.1; 16.2) lie opposite to each other, a support (30, 31, 32, 33) in which the epilation element (10) is mounted, and an actuation arrangement (20, 21, 50, 51, 50', 51', 18.1, 18.2, 18.1', 18.2'; 60, 61, 62, 69) that during operation of the epilation device (100) repeatedly actuates the epilation element (10) between a first bending state in which the base structure (15) has a first curvature and a second bending state in which the base structure (15) has a second curvature different to the first curvature, wherein the clamping surfaces (16.1; 16.2) the clamping elements (11.1, 11.2) are separated by a gap (14.1) at the skin side (S) in the first bending stage and are in clamping contact in the second bending stage.
Abstract:
Watermarking of audio signals intends to manipulate the au- dio signal in a way that the changes in the audio content cannot be recognised by the human auditory system. The watermark data are decoded from the received watermarked audio signal by correlation with corresponding candidate reference sequences. One or more of the sync symbols (S1, S2, S3) are embedded twice in the watermark data frame in the encoder. Thereafter a circular correlation is calculated instead of a standard correlation.
Abstract:
A reusable, foldable, stackable, lidded crate comprising a base plate (2), an integral lid (7), two side walls (3, 4), a front wall (5) and a back wall (6) with hinge arrangements connecting each wall to the bottom plate and a hinge arrangement connecting the lid to the back wall and being constructed in such a way that the crates can be security tagged or locked when carrying goods and can be folded compactly when not in use so that multiple folded crates can fit inside another, larger crate, in an assembled state.
