Abstract: Multilayer material comprising a paper substrate on which at least one regenerated cellulose layer is applied, wherein the bonding between the paper substrate and the regenerated cellulose layer is achieved by means of a water-based adhesive and the regenerated cellulose layer comprises, as a surface coating, at least one layer of a material having the function of a barrier to the penetration of water. The resulting multilayer essentially consists only of materials based on cellulose or derivatives thereof, so it is suitable for manufacturing completely biodegradable disposable articles that can be collected separately as paper and recycled.
