Abstract: A modular photovoltaic element for building roofs comprising: - a lower hollow structural part (4) of plastic material, - an upper convex cover element (6) of material transparent to sunlight and fixed to said hollow part, - at least one photovoltaic cell (8) mounted on a support (20) and housed in a cavity defined by said hollow part (4) and said convex cover element (6), - cabling (36, 38) associated with said photovoltaic cell (8), - provided in said hollow part (4), a compartment (32) which is separate from the cavity housing said photovoltaic cell (8), and which houses means (34) for electrical connection to the adjacent modular element of the same row, partially superposed to cover said compartment (32), - connection cables (36, 38) joined to watertight connectors (34, 30) positioned on the surmounting portions of adjacent hollow pats (4) of one and the same row, said connectors being connected to said photovoltaic cell (8) and to said integrated circuit (40), - means (24, 26) for mechanically connecting said cover element (6) to said hollow part (4), - means (42, 44) for mechanically connecting said hollow part (4) to the hollow part of adjacent elements of the same row, - a member (2) for mechanically connecting said hollow part (4) to the underlying roof structure.

Abstract: Modular elements for roofs of buildings, comprising curved channel tiles (2), disposed in partially superposed mutually predefined position on the roof support surface, such as to form side by side rows extending substantially along the lines of maximum roof slope with their concavity facing upwards, and curved cover tiles (20, 44, 84) disposed with their concavity facing downwards in partially superposed condition to form rows straddling pairs of side by side rows of channel tiles, characterised in that the channel tile (2) presents the following characteristics: - it has an upwardly open longitudinal cavity bounded by two raised side portions (4), - said raised portions (4) are provided with downwardly facing legs (6), - said legs (6) are provided lowerly with feet (8) fixable to the feet of a side by side channel tile and, simultaneously therewith, to an underlying roofing plane, - its upstream transverse edge is provided with a rib on which the overlying channel tile pertaining to the same row (16) rests, - when secured to a channel tile of the adjacent row it forms a support for a traditional cover tile or, at choice, for a technological tile disposed straddling said channel tiles.
