Abstract: A system (20) and method for forming a glass sheet includes a locating assembly (28) for locating at least one heated glass sheet (G) below a downwardly facing surface (58) of a topside support device (26) for transfering the heated glass sheet (G) from a conveyer (24, 24') to a mold (33) on a mold shuttle (30). The locating assembly (28) includes a support (82) mounted outside of the system housing (22) and a horizontal arm (84) extending therefrom into the heated chamber (37) of the housing (22). The arm (84) has first and second rotatably driven locators (92, 94) thereon which cooperate with additional locators (96, 97) mounted on the downwardly facing surface (58) or a second arm (84) to accurately locate one or two heated glass sheets (G) below the topside support device (26).
