Abstract: The device for laying planks or the like for terrace coverings comprises two frame parts (23, 27), which can be longitudinally displaced relative to each other and have sides (24, 28) that are parallel to each other and are each provided with a transversely oriented push/pull jaw, wherein each jaw engages an outer longitudinal side of two consecutive wooden planks (2, 3) from the outside.
