Abstract: A device for stacking sheet documents (11) in a container (9) is disclosed. The device comprises a sheet document input (5) coupled to a sheet document output (8) by a transport for conveying sheet documents from the sheet document input to the sheet document output. The sheet document output forms part of a feeding section (7) shaped for insertion, in use, through an open end of the container such that the sheet document output is located at an initial discharge location within the container and proximal to a closed end of the container on which sheet documents discharged from the sheet document output are formed into a stack.
