Abstract: A steam cleaning device (10) for producing a flow of substantially dry steam for cleaning and sanitizing. The steam cleaning device (10) includes a housing contains a water reservoir (30) and a steam generator (20) of instantaneous type comprises of at least one steam channel (24) having reasonably smooth walls for containing water introduced into the steam channel (24) from the water reservoir (30). A pump is used to pump water from the water reservoir (30) into the steam generator (20). The device (10) includes heating means (26) for heating the smooth walls of the steam channel (24) to heat and vaporize water inside the steam channel (24) into the substantially dry steam by internal forced-convection boiling. Preferably, steam formed in the channel (24) may be superheated in the steam channel (24) and discharges onto a workpiece through a nozzle (40) coupled to the housing. The steam cleaning device (10) is designed to be compact for easy storage.

The operating plunger pumps introduces vibrations which are transmitted to the housing and radiated by the housing to the environment which cause sounds and noise which are not user and environment friendly. In order to reduce the sound induced by these vibrations the domestic appliance is provided with two leaf springs (21, 23) mounted at opposite sides of the actuator (5) for moving the actuator (5) in a direction opposite to a direction of the movement of the drive member (8).

Abstract: An apparatus for preparation, containing and dispensing relatively small quantities of beverage such as tea, coffee, hot chocolate, cocoa, wheat-mix, herb, etc is provided. The apparatus comprising a sealed hollow container (10) having an internal volume, a wide mouth, a bottom, and an oblique sidewall connected to the bottom, a quantity of beverage drink mix (12) sealed within the internal volume of the container, and a removable sealing means (16) disposed along the oblique sidewall of the container for retaining the quantity of beverage drink mix therein until access is desired.
