Abstract: A plastic or semi-plastic quick light fuel is made from a mixture of a carbonaceous product (9), e.g. containing charcoal fines, a thickening and/or suspension agent, and a combustible liquid. The fuel may also comprise a material in fine fibrous form and water. An alkaline material and an ash conditioner may also be incorporated. The resulting mixture is fed to a suitable bottling or packing plant. Preferably, the thickening and/or suspension agent is a water soluble polymer, and the fibre material comprises paper.
