    Abstract: The invention relates to a liquid crystal display device (1) with a negative display when no current is supplied. Said device comprises a liquid crystal layer that is built into an active zone (2) between substrates, the exterior of each of said substrates being covered by pole filters that are aligned in an arrangement for the currentless negative display.
